Your new companyYou will be joining a professional project delivery environment responsible for managing and delivering a range of highway improvement, carriageway maintenance and civil engineering schemes. The organisation works across live highway networks and public sector frameworks, delivering projects that have a direct impact on communities, road users and stakeholders.Your new roleAs a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering highway improvement, carriageway maintenance and civil engineering schemes from inception to completion under NEC contracts.Key responsibilities will include: • Overseeing the full NEC contract project life cycle, • Managing all contractual communications via CEMAR or an equivalent system, • Developing and implementing technical solutions to resolve design queries and on-site issues, • Reviewing and accepting contractor programmes, • Reviewing and approving traffic management plans and proposals, • Monitoring project progress against programme, quality and budget, • Producing project highlights and progress reports for the client team., • Providing technical advice to clients and colleagues, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, • Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, health and safety legislation, financial controls, Freedom of Information and Data Protection requirements, • Supporting internal communications teams with updates to inform residents and stakeholders of works programmes, • Managing and supporting internal staff involved in project delivery, including site supervisors, • A B.Sc. or B.Eng. About the Role We are looking for a Electrician to carry out reactive and planned electrical maintenance across the client’s asset portfolio. This is a varied, hands-on role involving site visits and call-outs. You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and site foreman to ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to client specifications. Key Responsibilities • Receive and check deliveries of materials, passing delivery notes to the site foreman, • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on all electrical equipment listed on the client’s asset register, • Complete worksheets accurately and submit to Head Office on a weekly basis, • Identify and report on the condition of plant and equipment, including Life Expired Asset reports, • Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with client specifications, • Compile lists of remedial works identified during PPM visits, • Assist the Contracts Manager with costing remedial works, • Order job materials and submit associated paperwork to Head Office weekly, • Attend training and Health & Safety courses as directed, • Standard hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:30, • Additional hours may be required, including occasional weekend work, • Call-out duties: contractually every four weeks (currently averaging every six weeks) Overtime: • 1.5x hourly rate: Mon–Fri 17:30–08:00 & Sat 08:00–14:00, • 2x hourly rate: Sat 14:00 – Mon 08:00, • 20 days annual leave, • Auto-enrol pension (3% employer / 5% employee), • Door-to-door pay (travel included), • Experience in electrical maintenance within industrial or commercial environments, • Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical circuit diagrams, • Flexible approach to working hours and call-out duties Location: Sussex/ South London Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:30 (additional hours as needed) Salary: Up to 42k a year

Description of duties and responsibilities: Working as part of a team, led by the driver, with responsibility for collecting refuse and recycling and other waste service duties. Follow management instruction and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, in accordance with guidelines. Focus on customer satisfaction. Must be physically fit to cover the 10-20 miles walked per day around the route and to move the bins from the roadside to the hopper for emptying. Key responsibilities: 1. Ensure that all refuse, recycling and cleansing rounds (with no unscheduled missed bins/locations) are completed within specified timescales and to a high customer service standard. This will involve weekend catch-up days to cover Bank Holidays. 2. Assist the driver in preparing the vehicle for the day 3. Ensure that all safety equipment is available, in a serviceable condition, and being worn as required. The PPE must Health and Safety compliant, used in accordance with Risk Assessments and remain presentable in appearance at all times. 4. Operate the machinery in strict accordance with instructions and training, ensuring that the driver is always seen back when reversing, using the agreed signals when required 5. Ensure that any service issues or potential service failures are reported to the team managers in a timely manner 6. Undertake assisted collections as required, including returning bins to the designated point 7. Ensure that communication, work and training is conducted in a calm, positive and constructive way, being both courteous and helpful to the public, residents, customers and other staff. 8. Follow instructions as laid down in Council and departmental policies and procedures which are relevant to this job. These include: Risk Assessments / Method Statements, Code of Conduct, and Accident/Near Miss/Hazard reporting. The procedures/instructions will be updated periodically. Additional Assist and cover other collections and rounds being undertaken as part of the waste collection service when reasonably requested by the management team. "Reasonably" means within your abilities and which would not put you, colleagues or the public at risk within your contracted hours or otherwise agreed overtime for which suitable training has been provided, including but not limited to: * Litter picking * Collecting fly-tipping * General yard duties * Wheelie bin deliveries/collections Ensure all paperwork/works tickets and electronic communications are completed and returned to the office daily for processing.
