Canterbury Town Centre Monday to Friday Permanent Monday to Friday; 8am-4pm Up to £30,000 per annum dependant on experience (+ commission; both individual and collectively as a team) OTE approx. £40k-£50k Role: As our Trainer, you will be passionate and enthusiastic and will deliver mandatory Health and Social Care modules for new and existing in-house care staff. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs within health and social care that equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to work effectively in the health and social care sector. You will work closely with learners, and relevant stakeholders to ensure that training programs meet both industry standards and organisational goals. You will be expected to: Design, deliver, and evaluate training sessions, workshops, and courses in health and social care topics, including safeguarding, manual handling, infection control, and care planning. Complete relevant marking, follow-up administration and compiling training paperwork. Expected to build on our current training modules and help nurture and form long term relationships with new and existing staff and will be responsible for their continuing professional development and training. Ability to adapt your communication and training style depending on the trainees, and naturally build rapport with new people. Maintain accurate records of learner progress, attendance, and achievements. Stay up to date with developments in health and social care, including regulatory changes and best practices. Liaise with employers and other stakeholders to identify training needs and tailor programs accordingly. Your role is truly considered as one of significant value within the company, and as a SaferHandCare Trainer you will essentially ensure that our high standards, core values and commitment to quality is embedded in every member of staff you develop. Requirements: As a Health and Social Care Trainer you will have at least 2 years' experience, and more specifically would ideally have come from a care/support worker background that has since progressed into training and tutoring. You will be motivated, driven and thrive in a learner/trainer environment. You will be expected to have: Relevant qualifications in health and social care, such as an NVQ Level 3 or above (or equivalent). Recognised training or teaching qualification, e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), PTLLS, or equivalent. Proven experience working in the health and social care sector, with a strong understanding of care standards and legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to assess learner performance and provide constructive feedback. Proficiency in using digital learning platforms and other training tools. A strong background in the care sector. Qualifications in Basic Food Hygiene; Health & Safety; COSHH; Mental Capacity/DOLs; Dementia; Moving and Handling (Theory & Practical), First Aid/BLS; Medication. Knowledge of regulatory bodies such as CQC, Skills for Care, or Ofsted. Personal Attributes: Passionate about improving care standards and empowering learners. Patient, empathetic, and supportive of diverse learner needs. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Flexible and adaptable to meet organizational and learner requirements.
