The role demands strong technical competence and hands-on capability in the design, build, and integration of custom test rigs and automated systems to support product development and certification. Responsibilities • Lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive verification and validation (V&V) programmes across electronic, mechanical, and software domains., • Design, build, and commission bespoke test rigs, jigs, and fixtures to support prototype and production testing, ensuring repeatability and accuracy of results., • Develop and maintain automated and manual test protocols, including hardware and software integration for data capture and analysis., • Analyse test outcomes, identify failure modes, and drive root-cause analysis and design improvements in collaboration with R&D teams., • Ensure full compliance with medical device standards (ISO 13485, IEC 60601, FDA/CE) and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and documentation. Qualifications • Degree (BEng/MEng or equivalent) in Electronics, Mechanical, Biomedical, or Systems Engineering; postgraduate or relevant professional qualifications advantageous., • Proven experience in test engineering within a regulated environment, ideally in medical devices, aerospace, or precision instrumentation, • Strong hands-on capability in designing, assembling, and commissioning custom test rigs, including mechanical, electrical, and control elements
