Job Purpose\n The Operations Manager will provide day-to-day operational leadership across Priority Services4u’s domiciliary, supported living, community Services and live-in care services, translating the Registered Manager’s strategic and regulatory direction into consistent, high-quality delivery on the ground. In addition to overseeing operational excellence, the post holder will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable business growth, ensuring services scale effectively while maintaining compliance and client satisfaction. \n The post holder will directly manage the three Service Leads, optimize client mobilisation, staffing and rota efficiency, and act as the key operational escalation point across all three service lines. They will also identify opportunities to expand service capacity, enhance commercial performance, and strengthen operational processes that support Priority Services4u’s growth ambitions, deputising for the Registered Manager as required. Key Responsibilities\n Operational Leadership \n\n • Provide day-to-day line management, coaching and performance oversight to the Domiciliary & Community, Supported Living and Live in Service Leads, ensuring consistent delivery standards across all service lines.\n, • Coordinate staffing capacity, rotas and on call cover across services to maximize efficiency, reduce duplication and ensure seamless deployment of shared resources.\n, • Act as the primary operational escalation point for incidents, staffing shortfalls and service delivery issues, escalating to the Registered Manager where matters are regulatory, safeguarding critical or strategically significant.\n, • Deputize for the Registered Manager on operational matters, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision making, in their absence on operational matters.\n\n Client Mobilisation & Growth \n\n • Oversee client onboarding and care package mobilisation, ensuring referrals, assessments and care plan set-up are completed efficiently and to a high standard.\n, • Work with Service Leads to manage capacity proactively, ensuring new packages of care are appropriately resourced and operationally viable before commencement.\n, • Support the Registered Manager in driving business growth, contributing to new contract mobilisation, service expansion initiatives and operational relationships with commissioners and Local Authorities.\n, • Identify operational opportunities to enhance commercial performance, improve scalability and strengthen Priority Services4u’s market position.\n\n Quality, Compliance & Workforce \n\n • Support Service Leads in maintaining inspection readiness and embedding the CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, Well-led) into everyday practice.\n, • Monitor operational KPIs including visit compliance, staff retention, complaints and incident trends and provide performance reporting and insights to the Registered Manager.\n, • Contribute to recruitment, induction, training, supervision and appraisal processes for care staff, ensuring workforce capability aligns with service growth and quality expectations.\n, • Support the management of complaints and safeguarding concerns, ensuring timely investigation, resolution and escalation in line with policy and regulatory requirements.\nPerson Specification\n Essential \n\n • Minimum 3 years’ operational management experience within adult social care (domiciliary, supported living or live-in care), with a proven ability to deliver high-quality, scalable services.\n, • Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding practice and compliance requirements.\n, • Demonstrated experience managing staff rotas, on-call systems and resource allocation across multi-service environments.\n, • Experience supporting client mobilisation, including referrals, assessments and care package onboarding.\n, • Strong people leadership, organisational capability and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance quality, efficiency and growth.\n, • Confident user of care management and rostering systems, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office.\n, • Full UK driving licence, access to own vehicle and willingness to travel across service locations.\n, • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) and eligibility to work in the U\n\n Desirable \n\n • Level 3-5 qualification in Health and Social Care or working towards one.\n, • Experience operating across multiple regulated activities (domiciliary, supported living, community support, live in care).\n, • Experience deputising for a Registered Manager or contributing to service growth and contract mobilisation.\nCore Competencies\n\n, • Operational Leadership Leads teams effectively, ensuring consistent service delivery and operational stability.\n, • Organisation & Planning Coordinates resources, rotas and workflows to maximise efficiency and support growth.\n, • People Management Coaches, motivates and develops staff to achieve high performance and retention.\n, • Problem Solving Responds proactively to operational challenges, incidents and service pressures.\n, • Communication Communicates clearly and professionally with staff, clients, commissioners and stakeholders.\n, • Quality Focus Maintains high standards, regulatory compliance and inspection-readiness across all services.\nTerms & Conditions\n\n, • This role is subject to a 6-month probationary period.\n, • Employment is subject to satisfactory references, an enhanced DBS check, and verification of the right to work in the UK.\n, • Benefits and annual leave entitlement to be confirmed at offer stage.\n\n This job description is not exhaustive and may be reviewed and amended in line with the needs of the service.
