Position Overview The Customer Service & Security Event Staff Supervisor at Southern Methodist University (SMU) is responsible for overseeing game day operations and managing event staff across various roles, including ushers, ticket takers, and security personnel. This position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring both customer service and safety standards are upheld during all SMU Athletics events. Supervisors will serve as the main point of contact for frontline staff, assist with pre-event briefings, monitor staff performance, address issues in real time, and ensure compliance with event protocols. Events include home games for Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, and Women’s Volleyball. Opportunities to supervise external events in the Dallas area may also be available. This is a seasonal, part-time position with the majority of shifts scheduled between August and March.
