Benefits & Opportunities • Competitive hourly pay of $45–$65 per hour, • National travel opportunities supporting hyperscale and enterprise data center clients, • Travel per diem provided, • Paid Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance for employees, • Retirement Plan, • 19 Days PTO, • Ongoing factory training and professional development, • Opportunity to work with advanced chiller and mission-critical cooling systems, • Career advancement opportunities within a growing organization, • High level of autonomy and responsibility Position Summary • The Chiller Service Technician will perform startup, warranty, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operational support for commercial HVAC and chiller systems supporting National Account customers., • This position requires frequent travel for startup activities, factory training, warranty support, and service work on chiller systems and airside equipment throughout the United States., • The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong diagnostic skills, extensive chiller experience, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do • Perform startup and warranty support for factory-supplied HVAC and cooling equipment, • Coordinate warranty claims with manufacturers and service partners, • Manage parts procurement and coordination with equipment manufacturers, • Diagnose, service, repair, and upgrade electronic control systems, including MCS controllers and VFDs, • Lead and coordinate large service projects involving subcontractors, materials, equipment, and scheduling, • Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections to ensure optimal system performance, • Perform preventive maintenance activities including cleaning, lubrication, belt adjustments, and equipment inspections, • Troubleshoot HVAC, chiller, refrigeration, and airside equipment issues, • Recommend corrective actions and preventive maintenance solutions to customers, • Identify and recommend additional service opportunities, • Assist in developing processes and procedures for the growing service department, • Represent ACS professionally with owners, contractors, engineers, and trade partners, • Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time, • Participate in factory training programs and continuing education opportunities, • Travel extensively for National Account projects, service support, and manufacturer training Required Qualifications • Minimum 3+ years of experience working on commercial chillers and HVAC systems, • Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, HVAC equipment, and electrical systems, • Experience with startup, warranty support, maintenance, repair, and operation of commercial HVAC equipment, • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform complex repairs independently, • Experience servicing chillers, DX systems, and airside equipment, • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC service tools, methods, and best practices, • Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment specifications, • Excellent customer communication and relationship-building skills, • Strong computer skills and experience utilizing HVAC software platforms, • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently, • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the United States Preferred Qualifications • HVAC technical certification or trade school education, • Texas HVAC Technician Registration, • HVAC Time Chiller Academy Certification, • Experience supporting mission-critical facilities or data centers, • Advanced controls experience including VFDs and electronic controller platforms, • Experience managing large service projects and subcontractors Physical Requirements • Ability to lift and carry HVAC tools, parts, and equipment, • Comfortable working in outdoor environments, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces, • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights, • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs regularly, • Comfortable working around loud mechanical equipment and active jobsite conditions Compensation • $45–$65 per hour based on experience, • Overtime opportunities available, • Travel per diem provided, • Additional compensation opportunities based on experience, certifications, and data center expertise Benefits • Paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • Retirement Plan, • 19 Days PTO, • Ongoing Factory Training & Professional Development, • Career Advancement Opportunities, • Travel Reimbursement and Per Diem Support Location • Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, or San Antonio, Texas, • While candidates can be based in any of these markets, ACS has a strong preference for candidates located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area due to current customer demand and project concentration., • Extensive travel throughout Texas and the United States is expected to support National Account customers and mission-critical data center projects.
