American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Northridge, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Occupational Therapist, • Discipline: Therapy, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Mar 23, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Acute care hospital setting with a Level II Trauma designation, • Rehab unit encompassing PT, OT, and Speech Therapy services, • May be assigned to inpatient, outpatient, or rehab areas depending on facility need, with potential to float between areas, • Inpatient caseload of up to 13 patients per day; outpatient caseload of up to 9 patients per day; rehab caseload varies, • Common OT diagnoses include orthopedic, post-surgical, neurological, and trauma cases, • 8-hour day shifts, Tuesday through Saturday (schedule may vary — Wed–Sun or Thu–Mon schedules are also possible), • Cerner PowerChart EMR used in the position, • Rehab Aides and OTAs are available on-site to assist, typically 2 support staff in rehabRequirements, • Active OT license required if applicable — pending licenses will not be accepted, • NBCOT certification required, • Minimum 2 years of OT experience required; candidates with inpatient clinical experience may be considered with less than a full year, • Current BLS certification required — pending certifications will not be accepted, • Trauma experience preferred, • Travel experience preferred, • Copy of driver's license required for consideration, • 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehireAdditional Information, • Orientation is approximately 1.5 days and is conducted within the department rather than as a hospital-wide onboarding; Cerner training is included during this time if needed, • Holidays are not required, • Required dress code: maroon polo shirt, dark-colored pants, and closed-toed shoes; lab coat is optional With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
