Job Description Snak King is currently seeking Maintenance Technicians with industrial and electrical experience to join a food manufacture in the City of Industry, CA. We currently have positions available on first, second and third shift. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment for several production lines. Essential Duties These duties directly and substantially serve to achieve the purpose of the position. · Ensure execution of Preventive Maintenance program in accordance with the company policy. During the daily routines, must implement decisions through his / her co-workers to solve mechanical and or electrical problems. · Ensures that Maintenance equipment employees work safely. · Keeps and maintains the equipment break down to a minimum. Addresses preventive maintenance activities to perform corrective maintenance efficiently, as well as establish or improve preventive maintenance tasks. · Must have the ability to train his/her co-worker in all technical aspects as well safety requirements. · Elaborates and initiates the material requisition for materials that are not in the equipment manual, turning them to his/her supervisor for final authorization. Electrical I. Must be able to communicate effectively with outside technicians when it is required and reads complex electrical and electronic diagrams, troubleshoot up to 480 volts and identify individual components, uses simple shop mathematics and possesses knowledge of company, local, state, and federal electrical codes. II. Must be knowledgeable to install programming and trouble shooting variable frequency drives (VFD). III. Able to troubleshoot power distribution systems. IV. Must be able to design circuits creating schematics, ordering parts, run from an electrical power panel to the user point up to 480 volts and completing the hardware and wiring installation. V. Able to install and troubleshoot temperature controls and identify all types or thermocouples. VI. Must be able to troubleshot actuators for combustion air gas for ovens VII. Must be knowledgeable and troubleshoot all types of sensors and photo switches AC/DC VIII. Must thoroughly understand how to calibrate electronic transducer that using Mamps, Mvolts signal IX. Able to program the production equipment such as baggers, metal detectors printers etc. X. Able to diagnosis and repair electronic boards. XI. Must be knowledgeable with low voltage AC/DC control circuits for automatic equipment. XII. Must understand the components for PLC’s. This means uploading and downloading programs at a minimum. XIII. Must understand the relationship of a PLC system from to inputs and outputs. XIV. Must understand ladder logic to troubleshoot problems from a laptop computer. · Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles gear boxes, fans conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives and all allied mechanical equipment when directed or when directly related to mechanical or electrical troubleshooting. · Possesses working knowledgeable of hydraulic, compressed air systems, steam and all allied utensil with steam; has the ability to read mechanical complex diagrams and troubleshoot these systems. · Possesses working knowledgeable of the following equipment: o MIG/TIG welding equipment o Arc welding equipment o Gas and Plasma cutting equipment o Power tools such as drill presses, cut off saws, lathes, mills and portable power hand tools. o Electrical test equipment such as voltmeter, megger, ammeter. · Possesses the necessary basic personal hand tools of the trade. Must be concerned with their assigned tools and equipment, taking care of its good working conditions. · Must be able to time automated equipment drives using vendor’s manual and specification. · Must be able to respond to trouble calls and emergency condition as requested. · Diagnose and employ proper procedures for troubleshooting and determines when parts need replacement and when repairs are necessary. · Operates mobile lift truck and hoisting equipment in the performance of his/her work. · Collaborates in keeping all maintenance equipment; tools and working are clean and orderly. · Must be knowledgeable of lubricants for all types of machines and performs necessary lubrication of production machines as directed. · Must be knowledgeable in chemical handle procedures and drum storage practices. Must have working knowledge of OSHA, FDA AND GMP requirements as they pertain to maintenance activities at the food processing facility. · Maintains spare parts inventory for plant by checking out parts from parts cage, restocking inventory for his/her assigned equipment. · Assists completed work order objectives and correlate the written status report. Miscellaneous · Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions related to the welding trade including the proper use of Personnel Protective Equipment and care of safety equipment such as hoods, goggles and ventilation equipment. · Ability to read and interpret plans, sketches or technical drawings in order to determine the appropriate methods of equipment assembly or installation, modifying or repairing equipment as intended by request or manufacturer. · Skill in the accurate, steady operation/adjustment and care of various assigned repairs and special tools, equipment and machinery. · Display high standards of ethical conduct. Exhibits honesty and integrity. Refrains from theft-related, dishonest and unethical behavior. · Works and communicates with internal and external clients and customers to meet their needs in a polite courteous and cooperative manner.
