Job Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide technical support to veterinarians in the diagnosis and treatment of animal health issues. The Veterinary Technician will work closely with our team of veterinarians and other support staff to provide exceptional care to our patients. Veterinary Technician Responsibilities: • Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostic tests, and treatments of animals, • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood work, urinalysis, and microbiology, • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by veterinarians, • Provide post-operative care and monitoring to ensure the well-being of animals, • Collect and record patient medical history and maintain accurate medical records, • Perform dental cleanings and extractions as directed by veterinarians, • Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures, • Educate pet owners on animal health care and nutrition, • Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, • High school diploma or equivalent, • Completion of an accredited veterinary technician program, • State certification or licensure as a veterinary technician, • Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital is preferred, • Knowledge of animal behavior and anatomy, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to work well in a team environment, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detailCompany DescriptionAt Skyline, we promote high-level, up-to-date, honest, and straightforward veterinary care for your pets, while promoting a low-stress experience for all members of the family.At Skyline, we promote high-level, up-to-date, honest, and straightforward veterinary care for your pets, while promoting a low-stress experience for all members of the family.
