Job DescriptionParalegal Paralegal Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to support attorneys in litigation, transactional, and administrative matters. The Paralegal will manage case files, conduct legal research, prepare pleadings and filings, coordinate discovery and depositions, and maintain document management and docketing systems. This role requires strong legal writing, excellent organization, and familiarity with e-discovery and practice management technologies to ensure timely and accurate delivery of legal services. Key Responsibilities • Manage and maintain case files and calendars using case management and docketing systems (Clio, iManage, NetDocuments, PACER/CM/ECF)., • Conduct legal research and cite checking using LexisNexis, Westlaw and secondary sources; prepare research memoranda for attorneys., • Draft, format, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other court documents; prepare and e-file documents with courts as needed., • Support discovery and e-discovery processes: run searches, manage document review and production, use Relativity or equivalent platforms, and coordinate document collection and redaction (Adobe Acrobat)., • Coordinate and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials, including witness logistics, exhibit preparation, trial notebooks, and trial binders., • Manage discovery requests and responses, track deadlines, and perform privilege review and Bates stamping., • Assist with contract review, due diligence, probate administration, and real estate closings as required by the practice group., • Prepare and maintain calendars, timelines, and action lists to support case strategy and deadlines., • Perform timekeeping and billing entry accurately and promptly; support invoicing and matter budgets., • Maintain and organize digital and physical document repositories; apply consistent naming and metadata standards., • Support patent/trademark docketing and compliance/regulatory filing tasks where applicable., • Act as point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, vendors, and court clerks; communicate clearly and professionally., • Assist with compliance and regulatory filings, risk management documentation, and administrative tasks as assigned.Qualifications, • Associate degree, Paralegal certificate, or Bachelors degree preferred; certification (e.g., NALA, NFPA) a plus., • Minimum 25 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department; litigation experience strongly preferred., • Proven experience with LexisNexis and Westlaw for legal research., • Familiarity with PACER/CM/ECF for court filings and docket monitoring., • Hands-on experience with e-discovery platforms (Relativity or similar) and document review workflows., • Proficient with document management systems (iManage, NetDocuments) and practice management software (Clio)., • Strong drafting and legal writing skills; working knowledge of civil procedure and legal citation (Bluebook)., • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat (including redaction)., • Experience with timekeeping/billing systems and accurate invoice support., • Demonstrated ability to prepare trial materials, coordinate depositions, and support trial logistics., • Experience with contract review, due diligence, probate administration, and real estate closings is desirable., • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple matters and deadlines under pressure., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional client-facing demeanor., • Notary public certification preferred or willingness to obtain., • Competitive hourly rate $30 - $40/hr depending on experience., • Health insurance, • 401(k) with matching or profit-sharing, • Paid time off (vacation, sick, holidays), • Free parking, • Supportive team environment, • Significant career growth potential - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
