Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Picker / Material Handler Job Description As a Warehouse Picker (material handler), you play a key role in the success of the supply chain operation. You work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Domestic Sales Operations to ensure accurate, timely, and globally coordinated customer deliveries for a leading supplier of non-lethal law enforcement weapons and gear. Responsibilities • Review pick sheets based on customer orders and select the correct products for each order., • Accurately pick, pack, and stage items using warehouse management systems and RF scanners or RF scan guns., • Work closely with the inventory team to monitor stock levels and regularly submit purchasing recommendations., • Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently., • Verify that each incoming delivery matches the company purchase order., • Check packages against orders and invoices, confirming quantity, quality, and price., • Inspect all incoming and outgoing contents to ensure they are undamaged and properly packaged., • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and assist with inventory control activities., • Handle and prepare shipments involving dangerous goods and lithium batteries in compliance with applicable guidelines., • Coordinate shipments through carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and freight forwarders., • Use basic math skills to count, verify, and record inventory and shipment details., • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure on-time deliveries., • Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment., • Support team-based workflows and collaborate to meet daily operational goals.Essential Skills, • High school diploma or GED., • Ability to lift loads of approximately 25–75 pounds on a regular basis., • Willingness and ability to work occasional weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed., • At least 1 year of inventory or warehouse experience., • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in picking, packing, and recordkeeping., • Working knowledge of computer programs for entering and updating data., • Basic math and recording skills for counting, verifying, and documenting inventory., • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities., • Strong verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience using an RF scanner or RF scan gun (preferred but not required)., • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)., • Experience with UPS, FedEx, and freight forwarder shipping processes., • Exposure to handling dangerous goods and lithium batteries., • Forklift experience or certification is beneficial., • Understanding of export administration regulations (EAR) is a plus., • Demonstrated teamwork, reliability, and strong interpersonal abilities.Why Work Here? Work Environment The warehouse environment is clean, well lit, and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and safe workspace. Operations rely on state-of-the-art technology, including warehouse management systems and RF scanners, to support efficient picking, packing, and inventory control. The standard shift runs from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of occasional weekend, holiday, or evening work based on business needs. The team-oriented setting emphasizes communication, collaboration, and mutual support while handling shipments through carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and freight forwarders, and working with products that may include dangerous goods and lithium batteries. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Point, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
