Job DescriptionJob Title: CNC Machine Operator – 3rd ShiftJob Description The CNC Machine Operator on 3rd shift ensures that machining operations run efficiently, safely, and in line with production goals. This role focuses on operating and monitoring complex manufacturing equipment, performing accurate measurements, and maintaining high quality standards throughout each production cycle. Responsibilities • Operate CNC and other manufacturing machinery in accordance with operating instructions to ensure efficient and consistent production., • Perform machine setups, including calibration, cleaning, and preparation, to start and complete production cycles accurately., • Control and adjust machine settings, such as speed and feed, to meet established quality and efficiency standards., • Feed raw materials or parts into semi-automated machines and maintain a continuous supply to avoid production interruptions., • Inspect parts using precision and measuring tools to verify that they meet all quality standards and specifications., • Test machine operation periodically to ensure smooth running and identify potential issues early., • Maintain detailed activity logs and report daily production volumes, quality results, and any deviations from standard processes., • Troubleshoot issues that arise during machine operation and perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance when needed., • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to maintain a safe and efficient working environment., • Consistently follow safety guidelines and company regulations, including proper use of protective gear., • Communicate machine malfunctions, irregularities, or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor or team lead., • Monitor and manage inventory of materials and parts required for machine operation to support uninterrupted production., • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and support overall manufacturing goals., • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with machine technology, tools, and operating techniques., • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing production efficiency and product quality., • Use diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures, and read blueprints, schematics, and manuals accurately., • Monitor changeovers and ensure they are completed efficiently and in accordance with established procedures., • Follow manufacturer instructions for the operation and care of all assigned machines.Essential Skills, • Proven experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment., • At least one year of experience working in a machine shop., • Ability to operate and monitor complex machinery beyond basic push-button controls., • Strong ability to use and read a tape measure accurately., • Working knowledge of CNC operation and machine operating practices., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals., • Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers., • Understanding of production procedures and workflow in a manufacturing setting., • Consistent adherence to health and safety regulations, including the use of protective gear., • Analytical skills and strong attention to detail for quality inspection and troubleshooting., • Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with other operators and departments., • Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately., • Familiarity with control operations and automated equipment., • Basic computer and mathematical skills for production reporting and measurements., • Willingness to undergo on-the-job training and learn new equipment or processes., • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required., • Ability to move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds., • Ability to stand for long hours and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift., • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work overtime when needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • High school diploma or equivalent preferred., • Experience in a fabrication machine shop preferred., • Experience with CNC machines, press brake, and other machine operating environments., • Background in manufacturing, production, assembly, and packaging., • Comfort working with high-speed machinery and various measurement tools., • Openness to professional development and ongoing skills training.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a clean, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere. The primary schedule is Monday to Friday on 3rd shift, from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, with a shift differential. Training is typically conducted on 1st shift for a few weeks, from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with flexibility to accommodate exceptional candidates when needed. The environment includes advanced machinery such as Satellite and Quadra machines, as well as Comet, Kasto, and precision saw equipment, along with CNC machines and related tools. Overtime is not required at this time but may become available in the future. The facility emphasizes safety, organization, and the use of appropriate protective gear while working with high-speed, automated equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Upper Chichester, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
