We are currently seeking a 2nd shift Mailing Operator for our Moonachie, NJ location. Ideal candidates will have previous mailing experience and familiarity with US Postal regulations, proficient computer and mailing machine (Kodak, Rudy InkJet Addressing or similar) experience. Ability to pay close attention to detail, prioritize job assignments, and some machine troubleshooting experience is needed to be successful in this role. Summary: The Mailing Operator is responsible for sorting, organizing, and prepping job tickets for US Postal pickup. While navigating computer software such as XJet and WinSurfer to manage job tickets, the Mailing Operator will load priority jobs into the Kirk Rudy InkJet Addressing and Tabbing Equipment machine to ensure completion of priority job tickets. Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, or similar. Training may occur at other times. This is an on-site position requiring the employee to be present physically. Salary Range: $18.00 To 22.00 Hourly Compensation commensurate with experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: • Place material that needs to be addressed into loading rack on mail machine, • Select type size and initiate machines to automatically feed, • Detect and fix malfunctions in machine, • Refill ink, adjust guides, rollers, loose card inserters, weighing machines, and tying arms, • Time stamp, open, check, sort, and route mail with aid of machine, • Weigh mail to determine correct postage, • Place mail in bins for distribution, • Clear jams in sorting equipment, • Lift heavy packages and wrap packages or bundles, • Load and unload machines, • Keep machine well-calibrated and running smoothly, • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc., • Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and is free of safety hazards, • Report workplace hazards to management immediately, • Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required, • Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, and/or near misses to management immediately, • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations, • Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s), • Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment, • Attend all department/company meetings Qualifications • Six-months to one- year related experience with Kodak Prinergy, Kirk Rudy or similar brand of equipment, • Moderate to extensive postal regulations knowledge and/or experience, • Ability to read and comprehend job assignment tickets and customer instructional specifications, • High School Diploma or GED equivalency; or six-months to one-year related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred 4over Company History: 4over was founded in February of 2001.
