Job Summary The Patient Services Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the efficient, high‑quality operation of the Food & Nutrition Services Department. The Supervisor supports daily patient meal service, staff leadership, and overall patient satisfaction. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Ensure patient and client satisfaction by meeting—and exceeding—service expectations., • Provide appropriate menu alternatives based on prescribed diets, allergies, intolerances, and cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences., • Collaborate daily with nursing staff to evaluate patient meal selections, tray accuracy, delivery timeliness, and tray retrieval processes., • Address and resolve patient concerns or escalate them to leadership as needed., • Support all foodservice operations including patient meal assembly, delivery, sanitation, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives., • Supervise daily workflow and uphold all safety and compliance standards., • Perform additional duties as assigned. Schedule & Work Environment • Fast‑paced, high‑volume healthcare operation., • 3.5‑day rotation, including weekends and holidays., • Supervises 20+ team members., • Typical hours: 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills required., • ServSafe certification preferred; must be obtained within 60 days of hire if not already certified. Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of food service experience., • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or similar foodservice environments., • Working knowledge of food trends, quality standards, production processes, sanitation, and cost controls., • Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, and coaching abilities., • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact effectively with staff, management, clients, customers, and clinical partners., • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
