Now we’re looking for a Compensation Analyst to join our team. This isn’t a “keep the lights on” HR role. This is a build (from scratch), refine, and win environment where you’ll have visibility across the business, a voice at the table, and the freedom to innovate, all backed by leadership that measures success in outcomes, not just effort. This position works 100% onsite from our Riverside, CA location. Role Summary As a Compensation Analyst, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of compensation programs that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business goals. You’ll provide strategic guidance to HR and business leaders and play a key role in ensuring our compensation practices support organizational performance and employee engagement. Key Responsibilities Compensation Strategy & Program Design • Design, implement, and maintain competitive compensation structures and programs aligned with company objectives., • Lead job evaluation and market pricing initiatives to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness., • Develop and refine salary structures, salary bands, and pay grades based on market analysis and internal benchmarking. Annual Compensation Cycle Management • Manage all aspects of the annual compensation planning process, including merit increases, promotions, bonuses, and salary adjustments., • Collaborate with Finance, Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, and leadership to align compensation strategies with budget and performance goals. Market Research & Benchmarking • Conduct compensation surveys and market analyses to inform decision-making., • Maintain compensation databases and tools, including Salary.com, to support benchmarking and analytics. Compensation Consultation • Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition and business leaders to provide guidance on compensation-related decisions, including offer development, internal mobility, and pay equity., • Support Talent Acquisition in creating competitive and compliant offers for new hires. Data Analysis & Reporting • Analyze internal compensation data to identify trends, disparities, and opportunities for improvement., • Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to inform leadership and drive data-backed compensation decisions. Incentive & Variable Pay Programs • Design and manage short-term and long-term incentive plans, including bonus and commission structures., • Collaborate with Finance and executive leadership to ensure alignment with business metrics and goals. Compliance & Governance • Ensure compensation practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations., • Support audit requests and maintain documentation for all compensation-related processes. Qualifications Required: • 3+ years of experience in compensation-focused roles., • Strong knowledge of U.S. compensation laws, FLSA, and market compensation practices., • Experience with salary benchmarking, job leveling, and internal pay analysis., • Proficiency in Excel and compensation platforms such as Salary.com; Paycor experience a plus., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills., • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels of the organization., • Comfortable with AI tools and compensation tech platforms to enhance analysis and processes. Preferred • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or progress toward certification., • Experience working in high-growth organizations., • Familiarity with incentive plan design (commission or bonus-based structures)., • Experience supporting compensation committees or executive compensation planning., • Advanced skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for compensation reporting.
