This is a working leadership position for a chef who leads by example, thrives during busy service, and takes pride in building strong kitchen teams and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining food quality, improving consistency, developing staff, and ensuring efficient execution during every service. This role is ideal for a chef who is equally comfortable running expo, working a station, training cooks, managing inventory, and holding the team accountable to high standards. Responsibilities: • Lead and support daily kitchen operations, • Run expo and oversee service execution, • Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards, • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, • Assist with hiring, scheduling, and performance management, • Manage inventory, ordering, and product organization, • Monitor food cost, waste, and kitchen efficiency, • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, • Assist with menu development, recipe execution, and specials, • Foster a culture of professionalism, communication, and accountability Qualifications: • 7+ years of restaurant kitchen experience, • Previous Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or equivalent leadership experience preferred, • Strong cooking and expo experience required, • Experience with inventory management, ordering, and food cost controls, • Ability to lead, coach, and develop kitchen staff, • Strong organizational and communication skills, • Ability to remain calm and effective during high-volume service, • Professional, dependable, and hands-on leadership style What We're Looking For: • A leader who works alongside the team, not from the office, • A chef who can identify problems and implement solutions, • Someone who values consistency, organization, and accountability, • A professional who takes ownership of results and sets the standard for the kitchen, • Full-time leadership positionPlease submit your resume and availability for consideration.
