HYBRID Our client, a prominent Amlaw 50 firm, is seeking highly-qualified Associate Attorneys with judicial clerkship experience to join their Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Practice Group. This is an exceptional opportunity for current judicial clerks to transition into high-impact roles advising on complex IP and patent litigation matters across a range of industries and technologies. Attorneys may join any of the firm’s U.S. offices, with strong preference given to candidates located in Southern California, the Bay Area, or along the East Coast. Candidate Profile • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record., • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing., • 2–6 years of substantive law firm experience in IP and/or patent litigation., • Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following disciplines is strongly preferred:, • Electrical Engineering,, • Computer Science,, • Physics,, • Chemistry,, • Biochemistry,, • Chemical Engineering,, • Mechanical Engineering, or, • Related technical discipline., • 1+ year of current judicial clerkship experience: federal court (district court preferred) or the highest court in any US state or in DC., • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research, writing, and advocacy, with the ability to work independently on complex assignments., • Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities • Represent clients in high-stakes patent and IP litigation matters in federal courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission., • Draft and respond to pleadings, manage discovery, and contribute to pretrial and trial preparation., • Leverage technical background to analyze complex scientific and engineering concepts and communicate findings to clients and courts., • Collaborate closely with partners, associates, technical advisors, and clients to develop litigation strategies and ensure successful case outcomes., • Participate in mentoring programs, professional development opportunities, and business development efforts. Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation: includes an expected annual salary range of $260,000-$390,000, depending on experience and market factors, alongside discretionary performance-based bonuses. Additional compensation: Judicial clerks joining our client directly from a clerkship at a federal court, the highest court in any state, or the District of Columbia will receive a significant bonus.
