Job Description Position Summary: The Community Engagement Intern will support the Community Engagement Representative in expanding Community Care Plan’s (CCP) presence and brand awareness. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community outreach, partnership building, and event coordination. The intern will work up to 29 hours per week and will travel to community events, meetings, and outreach activities as part of their role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in identifying and researching community and faith-based organizations that align with CCP’s mission., • Support the coordination and logistics of community events, meetings, and outreach activities., • Attend local partner meetings, health fairs, and community events to represent CCP and gain insights into community needs., • Help develop materials and presentations to promote CCP’s programs and services., • Assist in tracking engagement efforts and documenting outcomes for reporting purposes., • Support the marketing team in organizing community listening sessions, including identifying locations and key contacts., • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing feedback and recommendations., • Promote awareness of CCP’s Community Resource Center, including the virtual platform., • Maintain regular communication with the Director of Community Engagement regarding outreach activities and findings. Qualifications: • Must be a current Community Care Plan (CCP) Medicaid member., • Passion for community engagement and interest in public health or nonprofit work., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet research., • Ability to attend community events (some evenings and weekends may be required)., • Bi-lingual (preferred)., • Strong organizational and time-management skills., • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse audiences., • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment., • Up to 29 hours per week., • Some evening and weekend events may be required.
