Job Description LaBella Associates is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planning Intern to join our Planning Team in the Glens Falls and Rochester offices for the summer. This is a paid,part-time summer position offering hands-on experience in community planning, brownfield redevelopment, and downtown revitalization projects throughout Upstate New York. This internship provides an opportunity to work directly with planners, engineers, environmental specialists, and landscape architects on meaningful projects that shape communities. LaBella Associates is a multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, environmental, and planning firm serving public and private clients across the Northeast and beyond. Our Planning Team works on Comprehensive Plans, Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) plans, waterfront revitalization strategies, grant applications, corridor studies, zoning updates, and implementation strategies that help communities move from vision to action. This internship provides an opportunity to work directly with planners, engineers, environmental specialists, and landscape architects on meaningful projects that shape communities. As a Planning Intern, you will support a variety of active planning and revitalization projects. Responsibilities may include: • Conducting background research, data collection, and demographic analysis, • Assisting with GIS mapping and spatial analysis, • Supporting public engagement efforts (meeting preparation, materials, summaries), • Contributing to plan writing, graphics, and presentation materials, • Assisting with grant writing, • Participating in project team meetings and client discussions Salary Range: $16 - $20/hr. The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. Requirements • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, or a related field, • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills, • Experience with GIS (ArcGIS preferred), • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities The FIU BSA Intern will perform a variety of duties related to the operations of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) including: • Review and investigate transaction monitoring alerts generated by the Bank’s financial intelligence systems, including the anti-money laundering (AML) management system, and other fraud and suspicious activity monitoring systems and reports., • Ensure that adequate case records are maintained according to regulatory requirements and bank policy., • Assist in the testing of the Bank’s FIU systems as well as the assessment of the performance of those systems., • Work with business lines and departments as needed., • Perform other duties in the FIU as assigned., • Keep the BSA Officer, Assistant BSA Officer, Assistant Corporate Security Officer and FIU Team Leader apprised of situations that impact the effectiveness of the FIU., • As an integral member of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the FIU and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.
