Job Description Level I Helpdesk Technician – Part-Time, Onsite Location: Dutchess County, NY Schedule: Part-Time, 3 days per week Classification: Non-Exempt Launch Your IT Career in a Role That Matters Acture Solutions is looking for a motivated and service-minded Level I Helpdesk Technician to join our Onsite Services team in Dutchess County. In this part-time role, you’ll provide frontline IT support across client facilities, helping end users resolve day-to-day technology issues while gaining hands-on experience across a variety of systems and devices. What You’ll Do • Serve as the first point of contact for technical support across client facilities., • Log, track, update, and resolve support requests through the helpdesk ticketing system., • Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, software applications, and workstation connectivity issues., • Set up, configure, and support printers, peripherals, and other end-user technology., • Perform device setup, deployment, and swap-outs as needed., • Assist with user account administration, password resets, and access provisioning., • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and cabling., • Support Active Directory and other user account management tools., • Escalate complex technical issues to Acture’s Level II and Level III support teams., • Maintain accurate technology asset and inventory records., • Assist with new-employee onboarding, device setup, and technology orientation., • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions clearly and accurately., • Communicate technical information in a clear and helpful way to non-technical users.What You Bring, • 1–2 years of desktop support, helpdesk, or related IT experience., • Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, software, and peripheral devices., • Working knowledge of Windows endpoints and common business applications., • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and workstation connectivity., • Familiarity with Active Directory and user account administration., • Experience working with helpdesk or ticketing systems., • CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ certification preferred., • Ability to work onsite three days per week and travel occasionally, up to approximately 25%.Skills for Success, • Customer-first mindset with a strong desire to help others., • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills., • Clear verbal and written communication., • Patient and professional approach when assisting users with varying levels of technical knowledge., • Strong attention to detail when documenting issues and resolutions., • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple open support requests., • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies., • Ability to work independently while collaborating with Acture’s broader technical team.Physical Requirements, • Ability to perform hands-on installation, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of computers, peripherals, and other technical equipment., • Ability to work onsite across client facilities and travel occasionally to other locations as business needs require.Who We Are Acture Solutions Inc. is a trusted IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering secure, scalable technology solutions.
