This field-based position involves installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting security and communication systems at client sites. Responsibilities include working with alarm panels, access control devices, surveillance equipment, electronic locking hardware, power supplies, and low-voltage cabling. You will read floor plans and technical drawings; run, dress, terminate, and test cabling; configure IP security devices; assign static IP addresses and subnets; and integrate security hardware with local area networks. You will install, program, and service systems such as Genetec, AMAG, BOSCH, AXIS, and similar platforms. The role also includes diagnosing and repairing complex faults involving ground faults, open loops, communication dropouts, power supplies, burglar alarms, access control, cameras, and related infrastructure. Work performed must be tested, documented, and completed according to company standards. The position requires regular regional travel to client job sites throughout the metro New York and surrounding areas. Most working hours will be spent on-site.
