Job Description Overview General Maintenance & Repair • Provides general and detailed maintenance, including patching, painting, hardware repair, and other repair/replacement work, with direct or indirect supervision as required., • Performs routine facility and medical equipment maintenance in accordance with organizational standards., • Conducts basic troubleshooting of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems; performs minor repairs and reports issues requiring licensed professionals., • Performs carpentry and general construction support., • Conducts routine inspections of assigned buildings, equipment, and spaces to ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules., • Completes scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and identifies areas needing corrective actions., • Follows the Facilities Work Order System and completes all work order documentation in a timely and detailed manner., • Utilizes digital tools, tablets, or computers to manage work orders, track parts, and communicate with the Facilities team., • Assists with, or independently performs, general and detailed cleaning of interior and exterior spaces., • Sets up, supports, and breaks down events according to established plans and timelines., • Adheres to OSHA/Cal-OSHA regulations, safety policies, and all required PPE guidelines., • Identifies and reports safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and unusual conditions., • Follows facility security protocols, including proper access control and safeguarding restricted areas., • Performs maintenance work in compliance with infection control procedures and other healthcare-related facility regulations when applicable., • Coordinates with outside contractors and vendors; escorts and monitors work to ensure compliance with facility standards., • Provides timely, courteous, and professional service to staff, visitors, and vendors., • Communicates clearly regarding timelines, impacts, and follow-up for maintenance tasks. SHARED TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES • Operates company van (valid CA driver’s license required)., • Responds to emergency call-ins outside of scheduled work hours., • Serves as backup to other Facilities team members and supports cross-functional work., • Participates in weekend and after-hours on-call rotation., • Supports storm response, emergency repairs, and urgent facility, • Assists and serves as backup to other Facilities employees., • Serves in the rotation of weekend on-call personnel, • Maintains appropriate service and repair records., • Helps to maintain adequate custodial supply stocks & Emergency Kits., • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and a background check to include a 7-year criminal, 10-year SSN & employer history reference check., • Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination on the first day of work., • Excellent interpersonal skills., • Attention to detail., • Must be able to work flexible schedules. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public in person. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as dollar totals, monetary conversions, discounts, interest, fractions, decimals, percentages, area, and volume. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve technical and practical problems and deal with various intangibles in situations where only limited communication, support, information, and access exist. Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: Must have good computer skills and be proficient in the use of systems to complete correspondence, documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, such as Microsoft Outlook and Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
