Job DescriptionShape the Night Shift: Keep Our Packaging Lines Running Novolex® advances packaging with a focus on innovation, choice, and sustainability across paper, plastic, and eco-friendly materials for foodservice, retail, healthcare, and industrial customers. As an Industrial Electro-Mechanical Technician on our third shift, you will be the go-to expert who ensures our equipment performs safely and reliably through the night. A day-in-the-life (10:00 pm – 6:00 am) • Start the shift by reviewing work orders, PM schedules, and upcoming production changeovers., • Set up machines for scheduled runs; verify safety guards, alignments, and controls are correct., • Respond quickly to equipment calls—diagnose, repair, test, and return assets to service with minimal downtime., • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on packaging and production equipment, including 480V 3-phase systems, PLCs, and VFDs., • Read and interpret OEM manuals, schematics, and drawings to complete maintenance tasks., • Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment; operate and repair forklifts safely., • Support facility/building maintenance as needed., • Wrap up with documentation, housekeeping, and handoff notes to the next team.Core responsibilities, • Perform machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance., • Handle emergency/unscheduled maintenance during production and planned repairs during service windows., • Prepare equipment for production runs and validate proper operation., • Diagnose faults, replace/repair components, test, and make precise adjustments., • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area; comply with all safety regulations.What you bring, • 4+ years as a maintenance mechanic/technician in manufacturing., • Electrical training/experience with 480V 3-phase and machine controls., • Experience with VFD drives and PLC troubleshooting., • Background in manufacturing methods and process improvement programs/procedures., • Forklift operation experience; able to safely operate and perform basic repairs., • Strong multitasking in a fast-paced environment; keen commitment to stay safe and continue to learn and develop., • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred., • Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.Technical proficiency, • PLC troubleshooting skills, • Mechanical troubleshooting skills, • 120/208/240/480 voltage systems, • Motor replacement/repair/maintenance, • Electrical troubleshooting, • Industrial electrical experienceMachines & technologies you’ll work with, • Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), • Conveyor systems, • Servo motorsCompensation & benefits, • Medical, dental, and vision options, • Wellness rewards to fund your HRA or HSA, • Paid holidays, paid time off, parental and other leaves, • Life, AD&D, and disability insurance; 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, • Education support: tuition reimbursement, Chairman’s Scholarship, and 529 College Savings Plan, • Broad Based Employee Award Program—value sharing plan for all employees with one year of service, • Eligible to work in the United States, • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen, • Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
