Job Description Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Location: Orange, CA Pay: 19/hr Type: Temp-to-Perm Shift: Monday–Friday with overtime available (weekdays and weekends with advance notice) About the Role We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Orange, CA. This position is responsible for performing routine electronic and mechanical assembly operations at the unit and module level using blueprints, work instructions, ECNs, deviations, drawings, diagrams, and written processes. The role requires strong attention to detail, quality focus, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a clean, safety-focused environment. Key Responsibilities * Identify and utilize materials required to build products and document usage. * Assemble components into final configured products using process instructions, drawings, wiring diagrams, and specialized tools. * Use hand-held tools including crimpers, torque drivers, strippers, and drills. * Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. * Read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, and visual aids to complete builds. * Work under the direction of a lead assembler when instructions or documentation are unclear. * Identify discrepant materials using red tag process. * Provide training and support to lower-level assemblers as required. * Ensure use of calibrated equipment and date-sensitive materials. * Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, 6S, ESD, and FOD programs. * Meet productivity, quality, and safety standards consistently. Minimum Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electromechanical assembly. * Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. * Proficient in the use of small hand tools and measuring equipment. * Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Excellent teamwork and dependability. * Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime as needed. * Must be able to work with and around aerosol products. * Comfortable with prolonged sitting or standing during shifts. Preferred Attributes * Experience supporting various assembly workstations. * Ability to lead by example and uphold quality assurance standards. * Proficiency in supporting KPI tracking, line loading, and continuous improvement initiatives. Physical Demands * Regular standing, walking, reaching, and manual handling required. * Ability to lift and move up to 30+ pounds, including overhead lifting. * May alternate between sedentary and active tasks. * Occasional bending, twisting, or prolonged standing.
