Job Description Viridian Staffing's () Client is looking for an Extraction Technician for a fast-growing cannabis company in the greater New York area. Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing is the premier staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis/hemp industry. As the Extraction Technician, you will work closely with lab leadership to support day-to-day solventless extraction and production operations. You'll help stage and run washes using cold water to separate trichomes, manage freeze-dry cycles, and press premium rosin, maintaining terpene integrity and consistent quality in a high-throughput environment. You'll follow and help refine SOPs, keep accurate digital batch records, and ensure the lab remains clean, organized, and compliant. Comfort setting up, operating, and maintaining solventless equipment-wash vessels, chillers, freeze dryers, presses, and related systems-is essential. The ideal candidate is technically astute with mechanical, electrical, and computer-operated systems used in production settings; proactive, quick-thinking, and exceptionally detail-oriented. Hands-on cannabis solventless/rosin experience is required. An associate's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field is welcome, or you may substitute equivalent industry experience. You should be reliable, punctual, able to lift 50 lbs, and comfortable working in cold-room conditions while collaborating with a small, nimble team. This is a full-time, hourly position with competitive compensation at the going market rate, plus benefits. Typical hours follow a standard weekday schedule with flexibility during production peaks. If you're excited to help craft top-tier solventless rosin using solventless equipment only and want room to grow as the operation scales, we'd love to hear from you. Compensation: $22-$28/hour Equal Opportunity Viridian does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, veteran status, physical or mental disability, marital status, genetic information, citizenship or immigration status, familial status, status as a victim of domestic violence, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law (including NYC-specific protections where relevant).
