Job Description Job Title: Courier Driver ( Floater)Reports To: This role reports to the Client Services Supervisor, Client Services Manager, or equivalent leadership. Job Overview: As a Courier, Freight, and Driver Dock Support Specialist at SPS Global, you will be integral to our logistics and distribution operations, focusing on delivering top-notch courier and freight services. This position involves detailed coordination and execution of parcel and mail delivery across various locations, ensuring operational efficiency and excellent service delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Courier and Delivery Excellence: Navigate predefined routes via automobile to deliver mail and parcels, ensuring timely and safe delivery., • Freight Handling: Manage the loading, unloading, and proper distribution of freight, adhering to safety and efficiency protocols., • Operational Support: Serve as a critical point of support for dock operations, including assisting with the organization and management of shipping and receiving areas., • Vehicle Maintenance: Responsible for the routine maintenance and operational readiness of delivery vehicles, including inspections and compliance with all safety regulations., • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate logs and time stamps for items received and delivered, supporting chain of custody requirements and ensuring compliance with company standards., • Client and Employee Engagement: Provide exceptional customer service to both clients and SPS employees, enhancing the professional image of the company., • Additional Support: Proactively seek out additional tasks during downtime and provide support across various operational areas as needed.Competencies:, • Strong verbal and written communication skills., • High-level customer service orientation with a focus on professionalism and efficiency., • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities., • Proficiency in using technology to track deliveries and maintain records., • Solid organizational and time-management skills.Qualifications and Education Requirements:, • High School Diploma or equivalent required., • 2+ years prior work experience in courier, freight handling, or similar roles preferred., • Current state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record., • Must be able to work assigned hours as determined by the manager.Physical Demands:, • The role requires physical activity including lifting, bending, and maneuvering freight up to 60 lbs.
