Job Description SEASONAL / TEMPORARY: November–December 2026 only. This position ends after the holidays (by December 31, 2026). Polish American Deli is a family-run Polish and European deli and specialty grocery in Runnemede, NJ. Our holiday season is our busiest time of year, and we need an extra store clerk to help our team through the peak. What you'll do: • Serve customers at the counter and run the register (cash and card), • Slice, weigh, wrap and label meats and cheeses (training provided), • Pack and hand out holiday pre-orders, • Restock shelves and coolers and keep the store clean, • Help customers find products with a friendly, patient attitude What we're looking for: • Reliable, on time, and comfortable in a busy store, • Able to stand for a full shift and lift boxes, • Must be 18 or older (job includes operating meat slicers), • Available for shifts between 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM, including weekends and December 19–24, • Polish-speaking is a big plus but not required; retail or food experience is a plus, we will train the right person How to apply: apply through this posting, or stop by the store at 125 N Black Horse Pike, Runnemede, NJ 08078 and ask for the manager. Beverage clerks are also expected to ensure customer satisfaction by giving prompt and courteous service to all customers that enter the Caf. Proper communication with the Deli Department on these needs throughout business hours., • To also provide training to all new caf employees on the products and procedures within the Beer and Wine department to ensure all employees are knowledgeable on the products., • To maintain a good relationship with all beverage vendors and wine vendors with regular communication., • To communicate department concerns and objectives with store management and Beverage Manager., • Comply with all health, safety, and PLCB regulations., • To enforce, oversee, and follow Beer and Wine policies pertaining to alcohol sales and identification of those purchasing alcohol in the store., • To greet all customers to our store and be observant to their needs while working., • To abide by all Redner's Markets policies and procedures set forth by the employee handbook., • To physically handle merchandise within the department while filling the shelves and coolers with the required products. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: • Must be at least 18 years of age., • Strong communication skills for dealing with customers, employees, and vendors., • Must be able to stand on your feet for the entire work shift., • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds for 30% of the time working.
