Job Description Experienced Dental Assistant – Full-Time or Part-Time Hillview Family Dental Hillview Family Dental is seeking a friendly, dependable, and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a patient-focused dental practice looking for someone who is professional, organized, personable, and comfortable working in a busy dental office. Position: Dental Assistant Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience Responsibilities • Assist the dentist during a variety of general dental procedures, • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment, • Take and process dental X-rays as permitted, • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas according to required standards, • Follow all infection-control, OSHA, and safety protocols, • Review and update patient medical and dental histories, • Assist with charting and accurate documentation of patient treatment, • Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, • Help patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit, • Maintain treatment rooms and ensure supplies are properly stocked, • Assist with impressions, models, lab cases, and other clinical duties as needed, • Communicate effectively with the dentist, hygienists, front-office staff, patients, and outside dental laboratories, • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA requirements, • Help maintain an organized, efficient, and positive clinical environment Qualifications • Previous dental assisting experience preferred, • Completion of a Dental Assistant program or dental assisting certification preferred, • Familiarity with common dental terminology, procedures, instruments, and dental office systems, • Knowledge of sterilization, infection-control, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements, • Dental X-ray experience, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well as part of a team, • Professional and compassionate approach to patient care What We Offer • Competitive pay based on experience, • Full-time or part-time opportunities, • Health insurance options available, • 401K, • Paid time off, • Paid holidays, • Supportive and professional work environment, • Established dental practice with a strong commitment to quality patient care, • Opportunity to become a valued member of a friendly, experienced dental team If you are an experienced Dental Assistant who takes pride in providing excellent patient care and would like to work in a welcoming, team-oriented dental practice, we would love to hear from you.
