Job DescriptionJob Title: Hose Assembly and Production Technician Job Description This role focuses on assembling, testing, and tagging hoses, tubes, and fittings to meet established quality and efficiency standards in a clean, organized production environment. You will use basic computer and math skills, interpret blueprints and technical documents, and operate hand tools and measurement instruments while working both independently and as part of a team. The position requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 lbs., and consistently following safety and quality procedures during a Monday–Thursday, first-shift schedule. Responsibilities • Assemble hoses, tubes, and fittings according to blueprints, technical documents, and production specifications., • Test assembled hoses and tubes to ensure they meet quality, performance, and safety standards., • Tag and properly identify finished products for tracking, inventory, and shipment., • Perform regular quality checks throughout the assembly process to maintain high standards of workmanship., • Use hand tools, measurement tools, and basic production equipment safely and accurately., • Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and company policies while working on the production line., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, including tools, equipment, and workstations., • Complete assigned tasks efficiently to meet daily production goals and timelines., • Use basic computer skills and office equipment to document work, access instructions, and update production information., • Support training initiatives by participating in training sessions and applying new skills learned from the training department., • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve processes, quality, or efficiency., • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and problem resolution., • Demonstrate flexibility by being cross-trained and assisting in other areas of production as needed.Essential Skills, • Ability to assemble hoses, tubes, and fittings in a production environment., • Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on product quality., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents., • Basic math skills for measurement, counting, and simple calculations., • Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to use measurement tools accurately., • Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in an assembly or production setting., • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment for documentation and communication., • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team., • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly., • Problem-solving skills to address issues that arise during assembly and testing.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in general production, general labor, or assembly environments., • Background in hose assembly or production line work., • Flexibility and willingness to be cross-trained in other production areas., • Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment., • Interest in continuous learning and participating in high-level training programs.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a production environment that features an entire training department dedicated to onboarding and skill development. The facility is extremely clean, well lit, organized, and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and professional workspace. You will work on a first shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off. The work involves standing for extended periods, using hand tools, measurement tools, and basic office equipment, and operating within clearly defined safety and quality procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Buffalo, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
