As the Media & Digital Literacy Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in teaching students, ranging from youth in after-school programs to adults in continuing education, the skills necessary to navigate, create, and critically analyze digital content. The instructor will lead engaging lessons in digital media, technology tools, and online safety, empowering learners to effectively use technology in both personal and professional settings. Sylvan Tutors: Greet students and initiate instruction to personally engage each student Instruct students according to the design of the Sylvan programs Manage students, tasks and time to create a balanced and robust instructional session Evaluate and record the progress of each student on their assignments Use praise and positive reinforcement to ensure students are engaged and inspired to learn Communicate specific student needs to Center staff Flexible hours are available and there is not any prep work that needs to be done at home! Tutors do not need to meet with parents, develop lesson plans, or collect payments from parents. Sylvan is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-7 and on Saturdays from 9-1. We are looking for someone who is able to work at least 2 days a week.
