Job Description Multi-state law firm handling matters in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut and Vermont. Our Firm specializes in real estate and financial services litigation, primarily involving commercial and residential mortgage foreclosure, including contested litigation, creditor’s rights, loss mitigation, mediation, bankruptcy, and evictions. Currently, our firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with experience in Real Estate and Foreclosure to join our team in our Armonk, NY office. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ample opportunities for growth and advancement. The Litigation Attorney will have significant responsibilities in the representation of secured creditors, banks and mortgage servicers in residential foreclosure litigation. Successful candidates must have a NYS Bar Admission and significant litigation experience. Key Responsibilities: • Substantial motion practice, including preparation of all papers for dispositive motions, discovery motions, appeals, orders to show cause, and ancillary matters;, • Analysis, interpretation and application of statutes, regulations, and case law;, • Assessment of case posture and development of comprehensive case strategies to address inquiries from clients, courts and other attorneys in a timely manner., • 5+ years of hands-on experience in NYS civil litigation practice;, • Complete knowledge of NYS civil motion practice;, • Strong ability to work independently and manage deadlines and projects;, • Experience with Real Estate and Foreclosure, • Work well under pressure;, • Professional written and communication skills;, • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively;, • Strong word processing and proofreading skills; and,, • Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, Outlook and Excel., • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) retirement plan., • Compensation is commensurate with experience, with significant upward potential.
