Job Description Summary: Completes a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patient and staff; provides assistance to the physician and appropriate medical staff by performing the following duties. Required Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Places patients in rooms, identifies patient, assists with taking and recording vital signs, records patient history, medications, and any changes. Ensures all testing and consenting is up to date., • Performs phlebotomy successfully., • Collects and labels specimen as outlined in lab orders/requisitions., • Transports specimens to the lab promptly for testing., • Cleans, stocks, and maintains all exam rooms., • Assists with patient medication instructions, helping patient get the proper medications ordered from the pharmacy., • Provide medication instructions as needed., • Provide education to client as needed regarding medications, procedures, and fertility treatments., • Thoroughly complete documentation in patient medical record., • If unable to assist client with their needs, please direct call to another team member, team lead, or manager., • Participates in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.
