Job Description This position is for full time evening shift We are North Medical Center. POSITION SUMMARY: (Lab Assistant II) -Phlebotomist Position Summary: Performs routine technical and clerical functions to include specimen registration and billing. Performs venipuncture, specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens. Performs phlebotomy duties as assigned. Will perform waived testing and assist in Microbiology processing and plating specimens, as requested. Position Qualification: • One (1) year of laboratory experience and/or completion of a formal phlebotomy training, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Completion of Phlebotomy training program and/or national phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ANP, ASPT or similar preferred, • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.
