About the Role: The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of mechanical systems within our facility. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of pumps, boilers, conveyor systems, and other mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards. The ideal candidate will proactively identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance to extend equipment life and optimize performance. Working closely with the maintenance team, the Maintenance Mechanic will contribute to a safe and productive work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and operational procedures. Ultimately, this role supports the overall operational goals by ensuring that all mechanical systems function reliably and efficiently. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent., • Proven experience working with pumps, boilers, conveyor systems, and mechanical systems., • Ability to safely operate a forklift and climb ladders as required., • Knowledge of three-phase electrical systems and mechanical components such as gaskets., • Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical maintenance or related field., • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and safety compliance., • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)., • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics., • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on pumps, boilers, conveyor systems, and other mechanical equipment., • Diagnose mechanical failures and implement effective solutions to restore equipment functionality promptly., • Operate forklifts and climb ladders safely to access and service equipment located at various heights., • Work overtime as needed to address urgent maintenance issues and support production schedules. The required skills such as working with pumps, boilers, and conveyor systems are essential for daily maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring equipment operates smoothly. Mechanical systems knowledge allows the mechanic to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently, minimizing downtime. Operating forklifts and climbing ladders are necessary for accessing equipment safely and performing maintenance at various facility locations. Understanding three-phase electrical systems and components like gaskets supports effective troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical interfaces. Preferred skills, including familiarity with maintenance software and strong troubleshooting abilities, enhance the mechanic's capacity to plan maintenance activities proactively and maintain high safety and operational standards. 1st Shift is: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
