Job Description DEPARTMENT/PROJECT OVERVIEW The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD or Clubs) CHANGES LIVES through quality programs and guidance in a safe, affordable and fun environment. POSITION OVERVIEW Under the direction of the Transportation Management Team, the School Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating the school bus according to a set daily schedule. The Driver must ensure that the school bus is in good operating condition at all times, pick up and drop off students as per the schedule, maintain order and security on the bus and adhere to all laws, regulations, and rules of conduct. The Driver must also interact with BGCGSD members, parents, staff, and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner. This includes receiving complaints about schedules and levels and quality of service. The Driver must make note of and report any such complaints and respond in a courteous and respectful manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Function Name/Tasks 1. SCHOOL BUS OPERATION Function Name/Tasks • SCHOOL BUS OPERATION, • Transport children, parents, and staff by driving a school bus or passenger van to and from school, and to and from special outings or field trips while adhering to driving rules and regulations for providing a safe vehicle in the State of California., • Maintain safety of BGCGSD fleet of vehicles by observing visual defects and checking operations systems routinely., • Maintain good communications with the Clubs administration; checking in with the transportation Coordinator daily., • Serve as a positive role model and example for BGCGSD members through appropriate dress, speech, attitude, and courtesies. Maintain consistent, punctual, and regular attendance., • Transport Clubs members by picking them up at assigned stops; instructing when it is safe to board the vehicle; take attendance; establish loading and unloading procedures, and the importance of adhering to all safety rules., • The Driver must also interact with BGCGSD members, parents, staff, and members of the public in a professional manner. This includes receiving complaints about schedules and levels and quality of service., • The Driver must make note of and report any such complaints and respond in a courteous and respectful manner. 2. SAFETY • Be aware of current safety protocols that are being adhered to: adults and children are wearing face coverings, social distancing, frequent hand washing, etc., • Enforce transportation seating guidelines outlined by BGCGSD and the State of California, ensuring adequate spacing between passengers. (depending on the current guidelines), • Conduct daily health, wellness checks & temperature screenings on all members as outlined in current guidelines., • Be adamant about safe conditions while traveling by enforcing safety and discipline rules and following all vehicle and driving laws as outlined by BGCGSD and the State of California., • Implement emergency plan in the event of an accident; appropriately administer to the needs of the members on-board, administer first-aid, and complete accident report and documentation., • Actively continue to complete annual classroom and behind-the-wheel bus driver instruction to meet all California state licensing requirements for valid CA School Bus Driver Certificates. 3. MAINTENANCE • Complete daily all pre-and post-inspections for safety and security by documenting in BGCGSD vehicle logs prior to locking the vehicle and completing daily shift., • Assist with transporting vehicles for regularly scheduled maintenance as requested by the Transportation Coordinator., • Cleans assigned vehicles, both interior and exterior for the purpose of ensuring safety, appearance, and sanitation of the vehicle., • Must be 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED (Required), • Must have three (3) years of relevant driving experience. (Required), • Possession of a valid California Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) or CDL (Class B) license with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements, and Air Brake Endorsement. (Required), • Possess First Aid and CPR Certification, or ability to provide within 30 days of hire. (Required), • Verification of safe driving record satisfied by submitting a Department of Motor Vehicles Driver’s H6 printout. (Required), • Ability to operate school bus in a safe and responsible manner adhering to scheduling systems; reading and following route sheets; complying with established guidelines. (Required), • Monitors members and other passengers during transit; maintain discipline as needed for the purpose of ensuring the safe transportation of all passengers. Essential Job Duties • Assists in controlling the Profit & Loss (P&L) Statement, ensuring each individual restaurant meets or beats its’ goals according to the budget. Manages the budget against projections on a daily basis. Manages Team Member performance including setup, food preparation and cleaning before opening, during the shift and at closing. Works with the General Manager in ensuring the goals and vision for the restaurant and the Company are executed., • Communicates, evaluates and documents Team Members’ performance as assigned, including the preparation and presentation of performance reviews, pay administration, and disciplinary action, including terminations. Makes recommendations to the General Manager regarding the needs and requirements of Team Members., • Controls and manages Team Member turnover by ensuring Team Member satisfaction. Delegates duties according to each individual’s strengths and weaknesses. Rewards and reprimands behaviors in a professional manner. Mediates Team Member conflicts and complaints., • Ensures Team Members follow Company food and operational safety policies, including using required safety equipment. Inspects the restaurant and its’ surroundings on a regular basis., • Ensures high quality food by implementing Rubio’s standards. Controls proper inventory levels by inspecting for expired or sub-par items and ensuring the rotation of all products during delivery, storage, preparation and serving. Completes daily operational food safety paperwork., • Oversees and completes financial paperwork on a daily basis, as well as periodic operational paperwork as prescribed by management. Counts, dispenses and deposits money according to individual restaurant needs. Manages cash handling procedures by auditing records., • Ensures that Rubio’s operational policies and procedures (including cash handling, safety and sanitation guidelines, and dress code standards) are followed by Team Members to the extent permitted by each restaurant’s individual operational needs and requirements. Communicates progress and status of the restaurant to Team Members and Restaurant Support Center staff with guidance from the General Manager or other appropriate management. Education: High School degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Minimum of one-year restaurant or retail experience. Restaurant management experience preferred. Knowledge: Knowledge of all management aspects in the restaurant industry. Language Skills: Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, clearly communicating operational concerns with management and co-workers. Math Skills: Overall skills and knowledge of basic mathematical principles and practices. Ability to perform basic computations to complete financial paperwork. Other: A valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance required. Individual must have reliable transportation, and be able to accept assignments anywhere in the district. Job DescriptionSummaryOur client is a leading Biotech Company in the San Diego, CA area and they are in need of an IT Support Engineer Level II Technician. An IT Technician’s role is to ensure system operation and functionality so that end users can accomplish business tasks. The objective of the IT Technician will be to respond to support requests in a timely manner, be the initial reference point for all IT support related tickets, and to ensure the satisfaction of the end user, among other technical duties. Duties & Responsibilities • Provide support of incoming requests to the service desk via telephone, web portal, email to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues., • Provisioning and system setup for new hires., • Prioritize incidents and service requests according to defined processes to meet defined SLAs., • Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in resolving support requests., • Server administration via Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, DHCP., • Install antivirus software and ensure virus definitions are up to date., • Server administration via Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, DHCP., • Network firewall and switch administration and maintenance., • Optimizing and maintaining network software and hardware, • Building and deploying file servers and cloud computing solutions, • Configuring and deploying VOIP solutions, • Manage Microsoft Exchange Server, • Telephone solutions, • Monitors alert systems and take appropriate action as per guidelines., • Ability to use various messages in an event log to affect repairs., • Receive escalated service requests requiring an enhanced response.Qualifications & Requirements, • Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, Exchange server and Active Directory, • 2-3 years of experience in a client-facing environment such as sales engineering, • Knowledge and familiarity with RMMs (i.e. Connectwise, Kaseya, etc) is a must!, • PSA (ticketing system) Experience is a must!, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and is comfortable working with clients at a business level to understand their current and historic issues regarding their business and technology, • Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills, • Experience writing proposals for and implementation of technical solutions to fulfill business needs, • Results-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, professional, reliable, and a team player, • Strong understanding of technology and business productivity systems, • Ability to problem solve at a high level, extraordinary customer service skills, strong multi-tasking, and organizational skills, • Sales training experience is a plus, • Having worked in an MSP environment is a major plus.Ideal Qualifications (not required), • CCNA or CCIE-Cisco certifications, • CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+, • MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Solutions Associate) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) MCITP Microsoft Certified IT Professional, MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)Our client offers challenging work, career opportunities, a pleasant work environment, and ongoing training.
