Job DescriptionSalary: $17.50 per Hour Volunteer & Events Coordinator Reports to: Chief Operating Officer / Chief Relationships Officer Department: Operations Work Location: Branson, Missouri Purpose The primary purpose of this position is to recruit, schedule, and shepherd volunteer teams that support the mission of Elevate Branson. This role provides leadership, organization, and appreciation for volunteers serving in multiple areas including meal makers, meal delivery, events, drivers, food service, kids programming, and connections. In addition, this role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of organizational events, including special events, program graduations, and neighbor-focused gatherings. The Volunteer & Events Coordinator ensures volunteers and events create meaningful experiences that strengthen the Elevate Branson community. Primary Responsibilities Volunteer Coordination • Recruit, onboard, and retain volunteers to support Elevate Branson programs, events, and operational needs., • Assign volunteer candidates to the most appropriate and suitable position based on background, skills, interests, availability, and personal preferences., • Ensure new volunteers demonstrate the competencies needed for their assignments., • Counsel volunteers to improve performance and satisfaction and reassign or release volunteers as needed in consultation with the leadership team., • Respond to community and leadership requests for temporary and ongoing volunteer support within established timeframes; redirect requests if unable to fill them., • Organize volunteer opportunities for community requests when aligned with the needs of Elevate Branson., • Maintain up-to-date volunteer schedules and notify departments of interested volunteers; arrange substitutes as needed., • Maintain accurate and timely volunteer records while ensuring all records remain confidential., • Communicate and model the vision, mission, and values of Elevate Branson to approximately 200 volunteers weekly., • Understand and utilize volunteer management software for recruitment, scheduling, and engagement., • Lead volunteer orientation and training sessions on average once a month for new volunteers. Volunteer Team Leadership • Manage the scheduling and functions of volunteer teams, including but not limited to:, • Thursday Meal Makers, • Thursday Meal Deliveries, • Events, • Drivers, • Food Servers, • Kitchen, • Parking Lot / Traffic Flow, • Connections, • Take the lead in building relationships with volunteer teams and team coordinators, providing care, encouragement, and leadership., • Conduct volunteer interviews for potential team leaders and ensure they meet Elevate Branson leadership qualifications., • Provide direct shepherding and accountability for no more than 12 team leaders, serving as a shepherd of shepherds., • Meet regularly with team leaders to provide accountability, support, encouragement, and training., • Partner in functional and strategic leadership as well as relational care for team coordinators and volunteers., • Provide volunteer appreciation through thank-you cards, appreciation luncheons, recognition initiatives, and care during times of illness or bereavement., • Update staff on volunteer prayer needs and personal situations when appropriate., • Perform leadership tasks as necessary, including monthly reports and the volunteer newsletter. Event Planning & Coordination • Serve as the lead coordinator for all Elevate Branson special events, graduations, and neighbor engagement events., • Plan and manage events from concept through completion, including timelines, logistics, scheduling, and event execution., • Coordinate with program teams to organize meaningful program graduation celebrations and recognition events., • Recruit, schedule, and lead volunteers to support event setup, registration, and teardown., • Coordinate event supplies, decorations, and logistics to ensure events are welcoming and well organized., • Collaborate with staff to ensure events align with the mission, values, and culture of Elevate Branson., • Track participation and volunteer involvement for events and provide reports as needed. Minimum Requirements • Must be a team player who handles conflict with integrity and professionalism while communicating appropriately with supervisors., • Must be a self-starter who continually looks for ways to improve programs and systems., • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with individuals from a variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds., • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, analyze information, make sound decisions, attend to details, and manage multiple projects simultaneously., • Ability to adapt to a quickly changing organizational environment and apply new knowledge and training., • Ability to generate enthusiasm and engagement among volunteers and community members., • Must fully support the missions, values, and staff of Elevate Branson., • Must have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook. Physical Requirements • Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a desk., • Frequent use of computer, mouse, and keyboard for typing and reviewing information., • Ability to lift and carry light objects up to 10 lbs.
