Job Description The Student Affairs Coordinator serves as a central operations and coordination hub for the Division of Student Affairs, supporting Campus Life, Student Success, Health and Well-Being, and Career Services. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and student-centered administrative processes while advancing key institutional priorities related to student engagement, retention, and service delivery. The Coordinator plays a critical role in streamlining communication, supporting cross-functional initiatives, and managing operational workflows that enhance the overall student experience. Essential Functions Administrative & Operational Support • Provide direct administrative support to the Dean of Students, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation, • Maintain organized and confidential student records in accordance with FERPA and institutional policies, • Serve as a liaison between Student Affairs departments and other campus offices to ensure effective communication and workflow coordination, • Assist in tracking departmental projects, timelines, and reporting requirements, • Support the coordination and maintenance of student-facing systems (e.g., early alert platforms, engagement tracking tools, communication platforms such as EdSights), • Assist in compiling and organizing data related to student engagement, retention initiatives, and program effectiveness, • Maintain trackers and dashboards to monitor progress on key initiatives and student outreach efforts, • Support administrative coordination related to housing operations, including data tracking, communication support, and logistical planning, • Assist with the coordination of move-in/move-out processes and residential programming logistics, • Maintain accurate housing and conduct-related records and assist with reporting needs, • Provide administrative support for student success initiatives, including early alert systems, retention programs, and student outreach efforts, • Support targeted outreach to at-risk student populations through coordinated communication and tracking systems, • Assist in tracking student engagement and participation in support programs, • Coordinate communication related to student success initiatives across departments, • Provide administrative coordination for student accommodation processes under the direction of the designated ADA/504 Coordinator, • Track accommodation documentation and ensure completeness, organization, and confidentiality of records, • Support communication with students, faculty, and staff regarding accommodation logistics (without interpreting medical documentation or making eligibility determinations), • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing student-centered events and programs, • Collaborate with campus partners to support inclusive and engaging programming aligned with institutional mission and values, • Manage event logistics, including scheduling, vendor coordination, and communication efforts, • Support assessment of events through attendance tracking and feedback collection Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree required (Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, or related field preferred), • 1–3 years of experience in higher education or administrative support role, • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with attention to detail, • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion, • Knowledge of FERPA; familiarity with ADA/Section 504 processes preferred, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, • Student-centered mindset with commitment to service excellence, • Collaboration and teamwork across departments, • Accountability and follow-through, • Cultural awareness and commitment to fostering an inclusive campus environment, • Primarily office-based with frequent interaction across campus
