Role Overview The Vice President of Operations & Food & Beverage is a senior executive leader responsible for the full operational performance of UMHL’s global hospitality portfolio. This is first and foremost a hotel and hospitality operations role, commanding all property functions from rooms and guest services to finance, people, and asset performance, with direct ownership of Food & Beverage as a core commercial and experiential pillar. A defining requirement is hands-on experience with hotel takeovers and new property openings. UMHL acquires and rebrands existing hotel assets as well as builds new concepts from the ground up. The VP must be equally comfortable stepping into an operating property and transforming it under the UMHL brand as they are leading a hotel opening from pre-construction through to a fully stabilized operation. UMHL is building a new category of hospitality where music, entertainment, and culture are integrated into the guest experience. This role requires the discipline of a seasoned multi-property hotel executive combined with the creative agility to run entertainment-driven F&B concepts that go beyond conventional hotel dining. Reporting directly to the President of UMHL, this leader will ensure that every property operates at the highest standard of guest experience, commercial performance, and operational consistency — while building and scaling an F&B platform that is both a revenue engine and a defining feature of the UMHL brand. Context & Mandate UMHL is creating an integrated hospitality ecosystem where hotels, F&B, live entertainment, and music culture operate as one seamless experience. In this model, exceptional hotel operations are the foundation, and F&B is the platform through which the brand's identity is expressed and its guests are monetized beyond the room. The mandate of this role is to: • Lead all hotel operations across UMHL's global property portfolio with full accountability for performance, standards, and guest experience, • Lead hotel takeovers — acquiring operational control of existing properties, rebranding them under UMHL, and rapidly transforming culture, standards, and commercial performance, • Drive new hotel openings end-to-end, from pre-opening setup and team recruitment through to launch and stabilization, • Own the F&B function end-to-end, from concept development and menu strategy to day-to-day operations and commercial performance, • Build and embed scalable operating systems that enable consistent performance across all properties, • Ensure operational excellence, brand consistency, and financial discipline across all properties and formats, • Build repeatable, high-performance operating models and enable rapid global expansion while maintaining operational discipline, brand consistency, and financial performance Key Responsibilities • Operational Strategy & Concept Creation (Core Pillar), • Define and lead the global operational strategy for all F&B and entertainment-driven experiences across UMHL., • Build the end-to-end operational architecture for new concepts, including SOPs, service models, staffing structures, supply chain frameworks, and launch protocols., • Develop scalable operational systems enabling rapid rollout across multiple markets and formats., • Design and implement pre-opening to post-opening methodologies ensuring consistency, speed, and excellence., • Establish a global operating model balancing brand consistency with local execution flexibility., • Concept Creation, Development & Launch, • Lead the creation of original F&B and lifestyle concepts integrating culinary, music, entertainment, and culture., • Translate creative concepts into operationally viable, financially structured, executable business models., • Oversee full lifecycle development: ideation → feasibility → operational design → pre-opening → launch → stabilization., • Partner with chefs, designers, mixologists, architects, and entertainment teams to bring immersive experiences to life., • Ensure all concepts are designed for scalability from day one., • Global Expansion & Rollout Execution, • Define and execute the global expansion roadmap across UMHL venues, hotels, and branded experiences., • Lead operational feasibility assessment of new sites (beyond conceptual alignment)., • Manage multiple simultaneous openings across geographies., • Build and lead international opening task forces and launch teams., • Develop a global expansion playbook including timelines, staffing models, training systems, and readiness frameworks., • Operational Excellence & Performance Management, • Establish and enforce global operational standards across all venues., • Implement KPI systems, dashboards, and real-time operational monitoring tools., • Continuously optimize service flows, guest journeys, and operational efficiency., • Lead post-opening audits and continuous improvement cycles., • Maintain operational discipline while preserving creative and experiential integrity., • Financial Performance & Business Optimization, • Develop scalable and profitable operating models across formats., • Own and optimize P&L performance in collaboration with finance., • Oversee commercial strategy, pricing architecture, cost optimization, and vendor partnerships., • Identify inefficiencies and convert them into margin improvement opportunities., • Ensure financial viability at scale across all concepts., • Cross-Functional Integration, • Align operational execution with creative programming, brand launches, and entertainment calendars to ensure seamless guest delivery., • Ensure full integration of operations within UMHL’s entertainment ecosystem., • Align operational readiness with marketing, events, and entertainment programming., • Integrate digital tools and guest journey innovations into operational systems., • Leadership, Build & Culture, • Lead and scale a high-performing global operations and F&B organization., • Recruit, structure, and scale multidisciplinary teams across operations, culinary, and launch functions., • Instill a culture of operational excellence, accountability, speed, and disciplined creativity., • Develop global leadership pipelines and succession structures., • Manage strategic relationships with external operators, chefs, consultants, and partners. Candidate Profile We are seeking a senior Food & Beverage executive with a proven ability to build, launch, and scale high-performing concepts in dynamic, experience-driven environments. The ideal candidate brings 12–18+ years of leadership experience across hospitality, F&B, lifestyle, or entertainment-led businesses, with a strong track record of leading complex, multi-unit, high-volume operations and successfully bringing new concepts to market. This profile combines strong builder and operator DNA, with deep expertise in pre-openings, operational design, team structuring, performance optimization, and full P&L ownership. The successful candidate will understand Food & Beverage not as a standalone function, but as the commercial and operational engine of broader guest and entertainment experiences, balancing creativity, operational discipline, and financial performance. We are looking for a highly execution-oriented leader, comfortable in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, with the ability to build teams, drive operational excellence, and lead international expansion with consistency and agility. The role is based in Miami and requires the ability to travel internationally as needed. Full professional fluency in English is required; Spanish proficiency is considered a strong asset. Experience & Requirements • 12–18+ years of senior leadership experience in hotel or integrated hospitality operations, with direct multi-property accountability, • Demonstrated, hands-on experience leading hotel takeovers: assuming operational control of existing assets, executing brand or management transitions, and delivering rapid performance transformation, • Proven track record of leading full hotel openings end-to-end, from pre-opening planning through recruitment, training, launch, and stabilization, • Strong F&B ownership experience, concept development, menu strategy, operational management, and P&L, within a hotel or hospitality context, • Full P&L ownership with a strong grasp of hotel financial structures, RevPAR drivers, cost management, and F&B economics, • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop large, multidisciplinary operational teams internationally, • Experience in entertainment-led, lifestyle, or luxury hospitality environments is a strong advantage, • Comfortably operating in entrepreneurial, high-growth environments with ambiguity and pace, • Strong commercial acumen and a guest-first operating philosophy, • Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency a strong asset, • Based in or willing to relocate to Miami; able to travel internationally as required
