Key Responsibilities Financial & Property Accounting • Oversee full-cycle accounting for a multifamily portfolio including general ledger, AP/AR, tenant ledgers, and month-end/year-end close, • Prepare consolidated and property-level financial statements, • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections, • Analyze financial performance and provide variance reporting to ownership, • Maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready accounting processes, • Oversee payroll processing through ADP, including GL coding and reconciliation, • Ensure compliance with payroll tax filings including W-2 and 1099 reporting, • Manage light HR administration including onboarding documentation and employee records, • Serve as financial liaison to ownership, CPAs, and external advisors, • Assist with entity-level reporting, trust accounting, and ownership structure tracking, • Support estate planning coordination and succession planning initiatives, • Manage and mentor a small accounting team, • Partner with property management and operations teams, • 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, • 4+ years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role, • Experience with multifamily or property management accounting (500+ unit portfolio preferred), • Strong knowledge of Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or AppFolio, • Experience with ADP payroll and compliance reporting, • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills, • Experience working with family-owned businesses, trusts, or estate planning structures is a plus, • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred, • CPA designation preferred but not required #ZIPDH BGSF is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
