Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 10/27/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Location: Santa Monica, CA Unit Overview • Unit Type: Cardiac Catheterization Lab, • Cases: 3 scheduled/day; up to 9 cases with ER add-ons, • Rooms/Beds: 4 rooms, 4 beds, • Shift: 10-hour shifts (07:00–17:30), • Schedule: Block scheduling; 4 weekend shifts per contract, • Call Required: Rotation-based; 30 min response time; ~10 call shifts/6 weeks (includes 1 weekend), • Float: May be requiredRequired, • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CCI RCIS or RCES, NIHSS, • Experience: Minimum 2 years Cath Lab RN experience, • Documentation: Epic charting, • Skills:, • Diagnostic & interventional cardiac caths (LHC, RHC, PCI, angioplasty), • IABP and Impella insertion/management, • Electrophysiology studies and ablations, • Stroke interventions (embolectomy, coil/sphere embolizations, TPA administration), • Vascular and peripheral procedures (angioplasty, stenting, embolizations), • Procedural sedation administration & monitoringPreferred, • Previous charge RN experience, • 2+ years in a complex Cath Lab, • EP and Interventional Radiology cross-trainingUnit Notes, • Patient Diagnoses: STEMI, NSTEMI, arrhythmias (SVT, CHB, V-tach), cardiomyopathy, Takotsubo syndrome, strokes, peripheral vascular disease, • Procedures: PCI, angioplasty, electrophysiology ablations, coil embolizations, LVAD, TAVR, Watchman, vascular interventions, • Equipment: Acist contrast injector, intravascular ultrasound, fractional flow reserve, Phillips hemodynamic monitoring, Penumbra thrombectomy device, Impella, IABP, Rotablator, • Meds used frequently: Nitro, Epinephrine, Neo, Norepinephrine, TPA, Lasix, IsuprelOther Information, • Support Services: Pharmacy, Radiology, Respiratory, Rapid Response, Physical Therapy, Social Services, Transportation, • Communication: SBAR, • Orientation: 2–3 shifts, • Scrubs: Provided by hospital, • Time-off: Limited; unit manager approval required Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
