This Valet Manager position is in San Diego, California. Scope of Position The Valet Manager oversees all facets of the Curbside Valet operation and will ensure a smooth-running valet parking operation by guaranteeing that all valet staff employees are performing their job functions in an efficient manner including but not limited to: -Delivering top-flight customer service to our clients -Hiring ideal frontline employees and providing them with the appropriate training and tools to perform at their best -Maintaining the bottom line through the safe and efficient processing and transporting of customer vehicles from the curbside drop-off areas and the Valet holding lot Essential Functions Responsibilities To perform the Valet Manager position successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty and responsibility listed below with little supervision: -Supervise valet attendant relations with clients to ensure that complaints, disagreements or misunderstandings about rates or services are resolved diplomatically -Supervise the quality of work for all employees to ensure that all work tasks and assignments are performed efficiently, effectively, and as required -Ensure that proper parking, driving and customer service procedures are being followed by all employees -Supervise special events or functions as they relate to the valet operation in order to ensure that incoming customers are served efficiently and properly -Monitor maintenance of the facility to ensure that it is clean and maintained according to company policies and procedures Safety & Risk Management -Monitor and review all damage claims in order to assign responsibility for damages -Recommend and implement plans or programs to improve the safety of operations to prevent the occurrence or recurrence of similar claims -Ensures all valet attendants complete an efficient and accurate pre-park inspection of each valet vehicle -Reviews and ensures Key Audits are conducted on a shift-by-shift basis to reduce the potential for lost keys or vehicles Position Requirements The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the individual selected for the Valet Manager position. Availability To Work The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must have open availability to work according to business demands including overnights, weekends, holidays and special events. License Requirement The individual selected for the Valet Manager position will be required to have and maintain a valid state- issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record. Language Skills The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must possess and demonstrate the ability to: -Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos -Write clear and informative correspondence -Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, supervisors and other employees of the organization Reasoning Skills The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must possess and demonstrate the ability to: -Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written or oral instructions -Exhibit sound and accurate judgment -Effectively respond to customer request for assistance, problems, or complaints Adaptability The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must possess and demonstrate the ability to: -Shift priorities quickly based on operational need -Maintain a pleasant and mannerly demeanor with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization -Deal with change, delays, or unexpected events in the work environment Training Courses The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must possess computer knowledge to ensure completion of online training courses in a timely manner. Appearance The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times. Physical Demands The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by the individual selected to the Valet Manager position to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Education Requirements The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must possess: -Three to five years of valet parking management experience Airport experience is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but can be substituted with relevant work experience. STARTING PAY: $70,000-$75,000 annually THIS IS AN EXEMPT/SALARIED POSITION. Primary Objective of Laundry Attendant Position To maintain the condition of all hotel linen in accordance with the standards of Bartell Hotels through efficient cleaning and processing Responsibilities • Insures maximum cleaning effectiveness by sorting laundry prior to washing according to fabric type, color, item or soil concentration, • Pulls damaged and/or stained linen prior to loading washers, • Insures maximum loading capacity by weighing bed linens prior to washing, • Loads washers and dryers to recommended weights, • Saves energy by setting dryers for proper heating and cooling times, • Places only proper linens in the dryer to be dried, • Operates, maintains, and cleans laundry and equipment according to company standards, • Informs supervisor or management of any mechanical failures or supply shortages, so corrective action can be implemented, • Presses and folds all linen, uniforms, and other necessary articles, • Assists in delivering linen to closets and storage areas, • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures Physical Demands & Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. Primary Objective of Room Attendant Position To maximize customer satisfaction by providing neat and clean customer rooms in accordance with the standards of Bartell Hotels Responsibilities • Insures customer satisfaction by cleaning customer rooms daily according to operational policies and standards, • Removes soiled bed and bath linens and replaces with clean linens as required, • Removes accumulated trash and debris from room as required, • Cleans bathroom area, dusts all surfaces and vacuums room as required, • Replenishes promotional materials and literature and room amenities, • Reports maintenance requests and replacement orders, • Turns in articles left in rooms to Housekeeping office for "Lost and Found" handling, • Leaves all customer belongings in stay over rooms unless they have been discarded in the trash, • Maximizes job efficiency and neat, orderly appearance by maintaining well-stocked and clean supply cart and linen closet, • Maintains vacuum cleaner by replacing and/or emptying bag daily, cleaning and placing according to S.O.P.'s, • Notifies Housekeeping Department immediately if any stock shortages exist, • Pulls any damaged or rewash linen and returns them to the Housekeeping Department, • Insures safety and security by securing the locks on linen closets and linen chute doors, • Reports all "Do Not Disturb" or bolted door rooms to Housekeeping department as required Physical Demands & Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell.
