Job Description To assist in the operation of the production department (corn or flour) lines under the direct supervision of the department Supervisor. • Be capable of performing all product-handling activities in a packaging work-cell (i.e., fold card boxes, stacking, and counting, packing, sealing and put bags in boxes)., • Provide relief to boxers, sealers, and packers as required., • Follow GMP’s, and Safety standards at all times, including LOTO policy., • Verify machinery is in good working condition., • Verify that code dates, sealing, product weight, and product appearance is within specified parameters and conform to client’s expectations., • Maintain his/her work area clean and assist in cleaning the department when needed., • Assist in training of new personnel., • Properly fill out all necessary documentation., • Be prepared to cover other positions (for which the employee has the capacity and/or training) as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Lead., • Be able to work well with others., • Be able to work overtime., • Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned by Managers and Supervisors and Lead., • Follow and direct company regulations., • Attend Safety and Quality training meetings., • Perform other duties, as assigned. REQUIREMENTS • Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred., • Must know how to read, write, add and subtract., • Able to work flexible schedule and weekends., • Able to stand for long periods of time., • Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
