Job Description Position Summary: The Revenue Cycle Operations Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our healthcare revenue cycle activities. This position combines administrative, operational, and client-facing responsibilities with subject-matter expertise in healthcare collections and revenue cycle processes. The coordinator will assist leadership by managing routine tasks, supporting client requests, monitoring vendor performance, and ensuring effective execution of both insurance, self-pay, and bad debt collection efforts. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, and the ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive results. Key Responsibilities Highlight Vendor & Collection Effort Coordination • Serve as a point of contact for vendors spearheading insurance, self-pay, bad debt collections, • Monitor vendor performance, track KPIs, and escalate issues to leadership as needed, • Respond to client requests, questions, and operational needs promptly and professionally, • Monitor client performance, track KPIs, escalate issues to leadership, and create strategic performance enhancement initiatives, • Oversee inventory flow from Client to Link and Link to Client, • Schedule and coordinate meetings with clients, vendors, and internal teams, • Prepare and distribute agendas, take detailed meeting notes, and track follow-up actions, • Compile, maintain, and distribute recurring revenue cycle performance reports, • Assist in validating and reconciling data from vendors, client, and internal systems, • Keep SOPs, workflows, and vendor documentation current and organized, • Assist in documenting and improving internal and vendor-related processes, • Monitor shared inboxes and draft routine correspondence, • Assist with onboarding of new vendors or internal team members · Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience. · 3+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management and collections. · Familiarity with RCM insurance and self-pay collection processes and workflows. · Working knowledge of core revenue cycle functions, including insurance verification, coding, charge capture, payment posting, denial resolution, underpayment recovery, and patient billing/collections. · Basic understanding of healthcare payer types (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Self-Pay) and reimbursement principles. · Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. · Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) · Skilled in monitoring and analyzing data, generating reports, and understanding critical KPIs to drive performance. · Proactive, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. · Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. · Knowledge of collection regulations including but not limited to FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA helpful but not required. Preferred Qualifications: · Strong vendor management or client service experience preferred. · Previous experience coordinating with vendors, collection agencies, health systems, or external partners. · Experience using electronic health record (EHR) or practice management systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, eCW, Allscripts, Athena) to review and process account information. · Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.
