Job DescriptionDescription: JOB TITLE Sr. Field Superintendent WORK LOCATION Burbank, CA or Winter Park, FL SCHEDULE Monday – Friday; 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, or as needed GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION As Sr. Field Superintendent, you will have management level responsibility for construction efforts on high profile commercial projects. Act in conjunction with Project Manager and Project Executive, as a point of contact with all construction vendors and contractors. Provide leadership and technical expertise and manage external client relationships. You will play a major role with regards to schedule, quality, and safety. LOCATION Multiple positions will provide on-site support to one or several projects located in Florida or California CORE FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage commercial construction efforts from project pre-construction through installation, • Performs constructability analysis and value engineering recommendations, • Management of pre-construction services scope and provides pre-construction input (varies by project), • Verifies compliance with national and local codes and standards, • Monitors construction, schedule, and quality control, and works to resolve issues for contractors, designers and clients, • Manages the safety program in close coordination with the Safety Department, • Monitors construction management contract compliance (if applicable), • Makes recommendations to the project manager on bid packages and develops, receives, and awards bid in conjunction with contract administration, • Monitors submittal and shop drawing process, • Reviews and approves contract application for payment, • Leads the development of the project delivery system, • Maintains clarification, submittal, and deficiency logs, • Coordinates with governmental and utility agencies and with other client departments and personnel, • Responsible for personnel management of direct reports to include performance reviews, performance counseling, talent development, etc, • Prepares site logistics plan, • Reviews and approves contractor’s project schedule, • Ensures proper interface with key project partners (Engineering Services, Facilities Management, Operations), • Facilitates production of mock-ups for approval (Design Architect, Operator & Client Executives), • Interfaces with client senior executives REQUIREMENTS • 7+ years commercial construction experience in applicable site development, i.e. attractions, commercial, retail, resort development projects, • 5-7 years project management/coordination, • Proven experience in construction management on complex projects, • Proven experience managing the construction development process and documentation (shop drawings, document control, punch lists, etc.), • Ability to lead project teams, and to manage through conflict and complexity and to problem-solve issues to resolution, • Experience with and proven understanding of scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and quality control, • Knowledge of national and local codes and standards, • Experience with MEP installations building construction (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), estimating, reading contract documents, • Experience working with outside vendors and subcontractors to coordinate installations and scheduling., • Experience in the contract administration process (contacts, professional fees, etc.), • Ability to understand the needs of the client and to manage relationships between the owner/operator, • Computer literacy (Word, Bluebeam, Excel, E-Mail, etc.), • Ability to comfortably communicate, both verbally in presentation and conversation, and written in correspondence to project team, vendors, consultants and partners, • Ability to give direction, adapt to change, establish relationships, and work in a team environment, • Supervisory experience EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS • High school diploma plus minimum of 5 years of construction supervision experience, • College degree with emphasis in project management preferred, • OSHA 30 Certification · Ability to walk 10+ miles per day over uneven surfaces · Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding · Ability to carry material weighing up to 50 pounds · Ability to climb over and under obstacles · Ability to stand for extended periods of time AOA Company Information About Us From hospitals and astronaut training facilities to restaurants, hotels, and attractions, AOA creates memorable and purpose-driven destinations that surpass expectations and resonate across audiences.
