Join our healthcare team and make a difference while enjoying the benefits of a travel respiratory therapist position in New York. • Location: Johnson City, NY 13790 (Upstate New York healthcare jobs), • Facility Setting: Hospital – Pulmonary Unit, • Assignment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist, • Start Date: December 25, 2025, • End Date: March 28, 2026, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks, • Shifts: Night shifts, 3x12 hour shifts per week, • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week, • Orientation: 3 day shifts, • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1930-$2080, • Graduate of an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy, • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC, • Active New York State Respiratory Therapy License or Permit, • BLS and ACLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross), • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or clinical setting, • Experience with external patient transports preferred, • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills, • Administer respiratory therapy procedures and treatments as directed by physicians, • Perform aerosol therapy, CPT/Flutter/PEP Mask therapy, incentive spirometry, MDI therapy, suctioning, and extubation, • Ensure oxygen tank safety and deliver oxygen therapy using approved devices, • Manage BiPAP-CPAP therapy, high flow cannula/humidifier therapy, and respond to related alarms, • Conduct cough assist/vest therapy and pulmonary function screening diagnostics, • Perform fit testing, pulse oximetry, and EKG procedures for adults and pediatrics, • Provide BLS life support for adults, pediatrics, and neonates, • Manage mechanical ventilation and ventilator alarms, • Perform arterial puncture and blood gas analysis, including quality control in the Blood Gas Laboratory, • Utilize healthcare information systems for patient care documentation and medication administration, • Verify physician orders and accurately record and report procedure results, • Participate in departmental in-service programs and assist with external patient transports, • Maintain files and records according to department policy We believe in empowering your career.
