Job Summary:The Director of Service – Building Automation Systems (BAS) at Bosch Building Technologies North America (Bosch BT NA) is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the growth, efficiency, and excellence of our Building Automation Systems (BAS) service business. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Services, this role shapes BAS service strategy, leads operational improvement initiatives, and ensures exceptional customer experiences while influencing the financial and operational performance of the Building Automation service portfolio. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the national Building Automation service strategy aligned with Bosch BT NA’s business objectives and customer expectations.Support a diverse team of service professionals, including managers, sales personnel (aligned to Service Sales Strategy), technicians, and support staff.Lead the Building Automation service roadmap, market shifts, and competitive opportunities while staying aligned with customer needs.Build and champion a service-first mindset, partnering with branch leaders to drive consistent culture and operational excellence.Drive alignment across branches and acquired companies through M&A integration, standardization, and cultural adoption. Customer Relationship Management Serve as a key escalation point for complex BAS technical issues, supporting branch and field teams to strengthen customer trust.Support national and local teams in customer meetings to expand Bosch BT NA footprint and maintain high satisfaction levels.Engage and support service leadership in meeting commitments for high priority and national accounts.Promote a culture of responsiveness, accountability, and customer advocacy. Service Delivery Optimization and Operational Excellence Influence performance outcomes for the Building Automation domain, including but not limited to; service agreement execution, renewal retention and performance, margin improvement, and broader KPI achievement.Establish SOPs for field services, including Service Agreement processes and Time & Material workflows.Evaluate, implement, and optimize tools, processes, service playbooks, and domain-specific standards that drive consistency and quality.Partner closely with branch teams to ensure consistent BAS service delivery, operational best practices, and continuous improvement. Technical & Market Expertise Maintain deep expertise in Building Automation systems, including controls architectures, integration protocols, HVAC fundamentals, analytics tools, and connected building ecosystems.Incorporate competitive intelligence and market trends into strategic and operational initiatives.Identify emerging customer needs and future service offerings to support Bosch BT NA’s growth trajectory.Support sales and service teams in strategic account reviews, customer meetings, and service‑centric solution development. Performance & Financial Metrics Drive Building Automation domain service performance outcomes by influencing revenue growth, margin improvement, service agreement execution, and operational efficiency across all support branches.Monitor and interpret key financial indicators, including labor utilization, agreement profitability, cost drivers, backlog health, and forecast accuracy that provides insights and recommendations that guide branch and regional leaders toward improved financial results.Collaborate with branch leadership and Service Business Operations to identify performance gaps, provide root-cause analysis, and co-develop corrective action plans tied to measurable operational improvement and financial uplift.Contribute to forecasting and planning through data‑driven insights on labor capacity, service demand, domain growth opportunities, and operational risks impacting financial performance. Cross-functional Collaboration Partner with the Digital Service Center (DSC) to enhance digital tool usage, drive adoption, and strengthen field enablement within Building Automation specific workflows.Collaborate with Service Business Operations to ensure Building Automation alignment on pricing strategies, service agreement estimation, ERP process compliance, and operational standards.Support M&A activities by evaluating Building Automation capabilities, aligning service playbooks, and accelerating operational adoption in newly acquired organizations. Health and Safety Compliance Ensure all service activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Required Qualifications: 8–10 years of leadership experience in service operations and/or service sales, including oversight of service delivery for building automation, fire & life safety, and security systems.Demonstrated experience managing or directing field service teams and service project execution within (BAS)Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, legislative standards, and best operational practicesExperience in preparing, administering, and analyzing department budgets.A valid Driver’s License and ability to pass pre-employment screens Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a relevant technical field Previous and progressive experience in Service/Operational leadership within a specific domain (BAS)Experience developing and implementing national service standards, including SOPs, domain specific service playbooks, and process guidelinesStrong background in service business growth strategy, including market/competitive analysisAbility to collaborate cross functionally with sales, operations, and field teams to drive service initiativesHarmonization of Service Departments through Merger & Acquisition activity Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP / Service Operations platforms Physical Demands: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
