American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Orange, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 12/15/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in a hospital-based Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), • Serves patients from birth to 18 years with high acuity and high census needs, • Night shift with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, • Weekend shifts required every other weekend, • No call responsibilities, • Floating required, primarily to NICU and CVICU, with potential to float to other units, • Uses Cerner EMR system; proficiency required, • Specializes in metabolic, respiratory, endocrine, oncology, neurosurgical, trauma (Level 1), and cardiology cases, • Handles advanced procedures including arterial lines, conscious sedation, CRRT, and ECMO, • Responsible for comprehensive critical care of pediatric patients with complex needs, • Assignment length is 13 weeks with possible extension if interested, • No more than 7 days of requested time off allowed during assignment, • Must be available to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays during the contract, • First-time travelers are accepted for this position, • Preference for candidates with a history of assignments longer than 8 weeks at high-volume, reputable facilities\n \n Requirements\n, • Active, unencumbered CA RN license, • Minimum 2 years of high acuity/high census PICU experience, • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS, • Proficiency with Cerner documentation system, • Experience in critical care procedures including arterial lines, conscious sedation, CRRT, and ECMO\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
