Job Description Overview YK Solutions is representing a leading integrated healthcare organization seeking an accomplished Nurse Director of Maternal Child Health to oversee patient care operations and nursing excellence across multiple hospital units in the San Jose, California region. This role is ideal for an experienced nursing leader with a strong Maternal Child Health and Labor & Delivery background, who thrives in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. The successful candidate will champion patient safety, regulatory compliance, and workforce development while driving strategic and operational improvements across 24/7 hospital operations. Key Responsibilities • Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple maternal-child health units, ensuring exceptional patient care and safety standards., • Develop, implement, and evaluate care delivery models, staffing structures, and clinical practice standards., • Partner with physicians, clinical leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to design and optimize patient care systems., • Drive best practices in patient safety, emergency preparedness, and evidence-based care across departments., • Oversee recruitment, performance management, and professional development initiatives to maintain a skilled and engaged workforce., • Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and operational performance against established targets., • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards, maintaining continuous survey readiness., • Lead improvement initiatives in quality, service efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across hospital operations., • Provide executive-level guidance during emergency preparedness and recovery situations., • Align departmental goals with organizational strategy to enhance patient outcomes and operational success. Required Qualifications • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required., • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field., • Minimum 7 years of patient care delivery experience, including 2+ years of leadership with direct reports., • Minimum 2 years of experience managing operational or project budgets., • Strong foundation in Maternal Child Health and Labor & Delivery environments., • Demonstrated expertise in change management, compliance oversight, patient safety, and business process improvement. Preferred Qualifications • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives in a hospital or healthcare system., • Strong knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, CMS, and state regulations., • Skilled in financial management, workforce planning, and data-driven decision-making., • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and resolve conflicts effectively.
