About the Role We are seeking a Cardiologist to join a growing cardiovascular team serving patients across Northern Florida. This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based cardiovascular care in a collaborative environment with access to modern diagnostic tools, multidisciplinary support, and strong referral networks. Key Responsibilities • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions in outpatient and/or inpatient settings (depending on role), • Provide consultative services for primary care and specialty referrals, • Manage chronic and acute cardiac conditions, such as:, • Coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, • Valvular disease, cardiomyopathies, peripheral vascular disease, lipid disorders, • Interpret and/or oversee cardiovascular diagnostics, which may include:, • EKGs, Holter/event monitoring, • Echocardiography (TTE/TEE, based on training/privileges), • Stress testing (exercise/pharmacologic), • Nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT/MRI (based on practice resources and expertise), • Develop individualized treatment plans, coordinate care, and ensure timely follow-up, • Collaborate with cardiac rehab, electrophysiology, interventional teams, imaging, and other specialists as needed, • Document clinical encounters and maintain compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards, • Participate in clinical quality initiatives, peer review, and care pathway development Qualifications • MD or DO from an accredited medical school, • Completion of an ACGME/AOA-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship, • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease (subspecialty certification a plus), • Eligible for Florida medical licensure and DEA registration, • Strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and commitment to patient-centered care Preferred (Nice to Have) • Subspecialty expertise (e.g., Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Imaging), • Experience with high-volume outpatient clinics, hospital consults, or integrated care models, • Comfort with value-based care, quality metrics, and population health initiatives, • Experience working collaboratively with APPs (NP/PA) and multidisciplinary teams Work Environment & Schedule • Mix of outpatient clinic and hospital coverage (varies by position), • Shared call schedule (details depend on group size and hospital model), • Access to cath lab/EP lab/imaging services depending on subspecialty and site, • Support teams may include APPs, nurses, technologists, care coordinators, and cardiac rehab Compensation & Benefits (May Include) • Competitive compensation (base + productivity and/or quality incentives), • Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance (where applicable), • Medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, • CME allowance and paid CME time, • Paid time off and malpractice coverage, • Potential leadership opportunities, depending on experience and service line needs About Flexzo AI Flexzo AI is a specialist healthcare talent partner dedicated to connecting exceptional clinicians with forward-thinking and independent healthcare services across the US.
