Job Summary The Human Resources Generalist provides administrative and operational support for day-to-day HR functions in partnership with the HR Manager and VP of HR. This role coordinates onboarding and orientation activities while supporting leave administration, HRIS maintenance, employee relations, recruitment coordination, compliance tracking, and employee record management. The Human Resources Generalist helps foster a positive employee experience by building strong working relationships across the organization while ensuring HR processes are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and employment regulations. Duties and responsibilities • Provides day-to-day HR support and administrative assistance to leaders and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters in collaboration with the HR Manager and VP of HR., • Builds and maintains positive working relationships across departments and clinic locations to support employee engagement and organizational culture., • Coordinates employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, orientation, employee check-ins, transfers, promotions, and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experience., • Maintains working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including ADA, FMLA, ACA, FLSA, OSHA, HIPAA, and EEO requirements., • Coordinates leave administration processes including ADA accommodations, FMLA, leaves of absence, return-to-work coordination, employee communication, documentation, and compliance tracking under the direction of HR leadership., • Maintains HR records, personnel actions, employee status changes, and employment documentation within the HRIS system while ensuring data integrity and compliance., • Performs HR administrative functions including employee file maintenance, reporting, Paycom support, workflow coordination, and document management., • Conducts routine audits of employee files, licenses, certifications, and HR documentation utilizing system reports., • Partners with Talent Acquisition and operational leaders to support recruitment activities, interview coordination, hiring processes, and staffing initiatives., • Processes payroll-related changes, employment updates, deductions, and personnel transactions accurately and timely in coordination with payroll and HR leadership., • Assists HR leadership with employee relations matters including investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action documentation, disciplinary processes, and policy interpretation., • Communicates and explains HR policies, procedures, and employment practices to leaders and employees while ensuring consistency and professionalism., • Assists with HR-related training, orientation programs, policy education, employee communications, and process improvement initiatives., • Supports HR technology enhancements, workflow improvements, and departmental projects as assigned., • Serves as a trusted HR resource by responding to employee questions and concerns in a professional, timely, and confidential manner., • Provides backup support to the HR Manager, VP of HR, and other HR team functions as assigned., • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and progressive HR experience accepted., • High school diploma or GED is required., • Four or more years of progressive Human Resources experience required, preferably within a healthcare environment or physician-led medical group., • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of HRIS systems with proficiency., • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity., • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a detail-oriented manner., • Works onsite in an office or clinical setting., • Emphasizes collaboration with various stakeholders., • Necessitates effective communication and teamwork., • Functions in a fast-paced environment., • May require flexibility in working hours., • Requires adherence to safety protocols and compliance with healthcare regulations., • Must be able to lift 25 lbs., • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time., • Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl and twist as needed., • Must be able to see, hear, type, and speak.
